Project Objectives1. Develop a short programme tailor – made for lone parents using work and individual coaching
methods, aimed at:Improving participants self confidence, enabling them to identify their further learning needs, link them to appropriate adult education providers, providing information about assistance available to lone parent learners locally (eg grants, childcare, welfare benefits, bursaries etc), establishing ongoing contact and support.
2. Develop the course through the exchange and observation of best practices by practitioner staff, including consultation with lone parents in each country
3. Empower lone parents participants through their participation in this programme and through direct provision of feedback by their representatives which can be used to determine the shape of the final programme.
4. Enhance understanding of the needs of lone parent learners and appropriate responses among partner organizations
5. Disseminate the course and materials using the website created by the partners to ensure wider benefit to lone parents in Europe.
