presents Growth Mindset: How to Take the Mindset Journey with Susan Mackie When students and educators have a growth mindset, they understand that intelligence can be developed. Students focus on im- provement instead of worrying about how smart they are. They work hard to learn more and get smarter. Based on years of research by Stanford University’s Dr. Dweck, Lisa Blackwell Ph.D., and their colleagues, we know that students who learn and live this mindset show greater motivation in school, and ultimately go on to far great levels of achievement and engagement. Psychologist Susan Mackie of Be Learning and formally of the De Bono Institute, will be visiting Ballarat Grammar on Monday the 23rd to help deepen our understanding of how to develop and foster a growth mindset in ourselves and our young people. Susan is currently collaborating with Stanford Professor and mindset guru, Carol Dweck. We are most fortunate to have an opportunity to hear from her about the development of research and practice in this exciting area.
