Annual Leader Training
Will be held on Tuesday, January 15th,
6:30 pm in the extension office meeting room.
We’ll also discuss any questions you may have about
the changes with the financial procedures this year. A
meal will be provided in appreciation of your attend-
ance. Please RSVP so I know how many to cook for!
STEM Festival Thursday, March 28th, 5;00-7:00 pm at
the Chariton Community Center. The Governor’s
STEM Initiative along with the Chariton Community
School District, Chariton Main Street and Lucas County
Extension are combining resources to offer hands on
activities. For more information, contact Ronda Morrett
at (641)774-2016.
Record Book update:
The 2019 Lucas County Fair Book has been com-
pleted and posted online. Due to the earlier com-
pletion of it, the record book judging and awards
have been pushed back. Books and awards will
be available to leaders in late January or early
February. Sorry for any inconvenience.

CLOVER SPROUTS
Clover Sprout meeting days have changed for 2019.
We will now meet on early out Wednesdays, from 3:00
pm until 4:00 pm. Please note the days listed below:
Junior Clover Sprouts (K & 1st grades)

Senior Clover Sprouts (2nd & 3rd grades)

Clover Sprout fee will remain $5.00 for the year to
help offset costs. We will follow the Chariton School
inclement weather schedule. If school is delayed or
canceled, Clover Sprouts will be canceled also.

ALL rabbits MUST attend this identification event to
be eligible to be shown at the 2019 Lucas County Fair.
NO EXCEPTIONS will be made
Tattooing will be available. Kelly will be entering the
rabbits into the computer that day. Make sure to have
your information ready .

Reminder:
All beef, swine, sheep and goats will be tagged with
double tags this year. If you’re animal looses A tag,
you must contact the office immediately. An extension
council member or a superintendent will re-tag the ani-
mal. If an animal has lost both tags at the same time,
that animal is ineligible to show at the county fair.
