WHAT IS THE GROWN-UP SPELLING BEE?This is a fun adult team event to benefit the Pearland ISD Education Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that enriches teaching and inspires learning in Pearland ISD.

HOW DOES THE BEE WORK?Twenty teams of three adults will work together to spell words and vie for the chance to be dubbed “Best Spellers in Pearland”. Players score team points during each preliminary lightning round. The top three teams will enter in a sudden death match to spell as many words as possible in 1 minute.

WHY SUPPORT THE GROWN-UP SPELLING BEE?The spelling bee benefits Pearland ISD students and teachers. Money raised will go towards innovative educational programs and activities that fall outside Pearland ISD’s operating budget.
