Grouted Iridescent Glass Marble Vase

I do not know why, but I always think I can make use of old jars, so I hold on to them.  I have a cabinet full of everything from big pickle jars to small salsa jars.  It is just so easy and convenient to embellish them and use them as vases, candle holders, pencil/pen holders, desk organizers, etc.

Here is how! place a clean dry jar upside down, gently rub the jar with some sandpaper to cause scratching this helps with the bonding process.

Select the decorations you want to use; some suggestions are mosaic tiles glass gems jeweled embellishments old broken costume jewelry or even copper coins.

Rub the back of the decoration with the sandpaper again to help form agitation for a bonding agent.

Apply a small amount of glue and to the back of the decoration and stick to your glass jar. Hold in place until stuck firmly.

You can mix powdered grout or but readymade grout either is suitable.

I have learned that the bigger gaps between the decorations made it more difficult the grout.  Therefore, when I used the smaller jar to make a vase, I placed the marbles right next to each other to make grouting was a bit easier.

Allow the grout to fully dry then polish up your decorations with a dry clean cloth.
