tools to use in groups
All members of edna Groups have access to edna blogs through the My Groups option. Group Members can select the level of visibility of their individual edna blog.
Group Owners can choose to use the edna blog and edna blog tags blocks within their edna Group. The blog tags are generated from tags used by Group Members in their edna blog entries.
When used in a edna Group, there is an extra item - View Group blogs - which allows Group Members to see blog entries made public by other Group Members within their edna Group.

tools to use in groups
META GROUP
A Meta Group allows the setting up of edna groups that share a parent
group.
The parent edna Group can contain files and activities that all Group
Members require access to.
The Meta Group can save the Group Owner time by not having to
upload files into each of their individual edna groups.
While Group Members have access to the parent group, they do not have access to the other child
groups.
32
tools to use in groups
Take the time add an image and text to your own Group profile (or indeed any where else you
have the opportunity)
Encourage members of your Group to do likewise.
They help create that sense of a community of practice of ‘real’
people.
In Groups your image appears in forums, and in the Participants
list (People block).
