ACTION GROUPS Real Change….Together

A place where anyone can discover Christ and grow into Christ-likeness by learn-

ing and interacting within a community of believers.

Key Messages about being involved in an Action Group:

God wants you to have real life change. He calls each one to respond to his work within us. It’s our responsibility to Take Action.

Real Change (Discipleship) happens in relationship with Christ and others….together.

Real Change is not just academic but must be lived out daily in relationship. It’s not just a thing to do but something to apply. It’s about equipping you to serve and love others.

PNC provides real change opportunity through Action Groups. Elements of an Action Group: Biblical teaching, fellowship, follow up throughout the week, prayer.

Thanks for your interest in Action Groups for the fall of 2013. This semester you

will find a varied selection of groups that represent specialized core teachings at

PNC as well as groups that will focus on the theme of being “Sent.”

As a church, we seek to prepare and equip believers with confidence in sharing

the message of Jesus to family members, friends and neighbors. Through the

preaching series on Sundays and weekly Action Groups you will be equipped to

apply the message of Jesus to others. Also, you will find groups that will provide

important teaching on finances, spiritual healing and marriage.

I am very excited about the ways we can learn together to become fully devoted

followers of Jesus. I am praying that you will find a group that will help you de-

velop new friendships and challenge your walk with Jesus.

How to understand our Catalog:

We have 29 groups for you to choose from.

Pages 7-12 Fall Emphasis Groups These groups are working around a common curriculum. See pages 7-8 for the theme and curriculum choices. Pages 13-18 Core Curriculum Groups There are topics we encourage everyone to participate in sometime in their spiritual journey. Even though these groups have a specific curriculum, they will also incorporate our fall emphasis theme described on page 7. Pages 21-22 Task Groups meet around a specific task or ac-tivity. There is a short devotional/prayer time included.

Pages 19-20 XtremeKids Action Groups for Nursery—6th grade. Page 23 lists all groups by Day of the Week order. Materials:

Some Action Groups require a book or workbook. For the fall em-phasis groups, the ISBN is listed on pages 7-8. For the core cur-riculum groups, the information is listed in the description.

Fall Emphasis Curriculum

We are very excited to begin a journey together. This journey will take us outside of our comfort zone - it will stretch us - but the results will be amazing! Parents and kids join us Wednesday night, September 18th, 6:30pm as we look ahead to the fall XtremeDiscipleship Class. This night is an opportunity to hear the vision and plan for the entire discipleship program as well as meet the leaders and other families on the same faith journey. A dynamic discipleship program designed to move children from Knowing Christ to Growing in Christ, then on to Serving Christ and finally to Sharing Christ. Each book in the series is application based and designed to bring about life change. Short stories, games, intriguing questions, family and group participation make learning and faith come alive. Students will deep-en their understanding of each topic so they can personally apply the principles to their life. Parents and kids join us Wednesday night, September 18th, 6:30pm as we look ahead to the fall XtremeDiscipleship Class.
