ACTIVITY COORDINATORSOur trained “Funologists” will have entertainment set up for the children during lunch and dinner parties, allowing the adults to socialize. They will begin a new activity every 15-20 minutes, including face painting, arts & crafts, and games. Age appropriate activities run parallel to parent function.

BEACH BONFIREEnjoy a classic bonfire and the delicious treats of youth!Roast marshmallows before you combine them with graham crackers and chocolate and you’ll certainly want “s’more.” Nice addition to Buccaneer Island parties. Add Adirondack chairs to really set the scene!

BEACH OLYMPICSGoing for the Gold…Florida Keys style.Show off your skills with classic beach games such as Beach Relays, Standup Paddle Board Races, Sand Scrabble, Blind Sand Ski Races, Tug-O-War, and others! Suitable for all ages and abilities.

BINGO NIGHTA timeless classic game everyone enjoys. With multiple variations of play, someone will be shouting “BINGO” before you know it. Prizes included.

BUNGEE RUNHook on your bungee cords and hold onto your hats! Two opponents go head to head down a 35’ inflated runway to see who can place their markers farthest down the line. Perfect addition to parties! Participants must be at least 4’ tall.

CARDBOARD BOAT REGATTAUltimate team challenge and our single most popular camp event!Each team is given an identical set of materials and one hour to build a boat! Teams then race against each other in the Buccaneer Island Lagoon. Materials include three 60” x 100” sheets of cardboard, two paddles, a razor blade knife, a roll of plastic wrap, 90 yards of duct tape, a pad of paper, and a pen.

SAND CASTLE COMPETITIONSAND, BUCKETS, COMPETITION oh my! The rules are simple. Teams must stay within their designated plot of sand approximately 4’ x 6’. No sand may be added or removed from the plot. Only materials natural to the beach may be used in the finished sculpture. Materials included to build your master piece are: (2) big buckets (2) small buckets, (3) shovels, (3) cement hand sculptors. The Rec team will run and judge the finished masterpieces.

CORNHOLE TOURNAMENTA favorite for tailgating and the perfect compliment at cocktail parties! An organized tournament-style play is set up and run by our Activity Coordinator officials.

DIVE IN MOVIEHow do people in the Keys watch movies? By diving into the experience! Catch your favorite movie on the big screen while floating in a Buccaneer Island pool; on an inner tube! Program fee includes pool rental, audio visual rental, towels, and inner tubes.

DRIVE IN OR BEACHFRONT MOVIEToo chilly to get wet? Enjoy a movie under the stars, either on the beach or on a golf cart. Includes audio visual rental, movie, and popcorn.

ECO-CHALLENGEA high impact (not for the timid) race to the finish. Remember X marks the spot! You must swim, cycle, paddle and run to the next check point. This is a treasure hunt for the athletic and environmentally friendly and can be customized to your group athletic ability.

GOLF CART ROAD RALLYTeams battle it out with different competitions held throughout the property. Competitions can include basketball shootouts, mini golf putt offs, golf chipping contests, tennis slams, and more. A perfect way to get to know the property, while having fun!

HERMIT CRAB RACESReady! Set! They’re off, and haulin’ shell! Participants rally around the circular track and cheer on their favorite crab racers. A variety of race styles including individual races and group voting! Crabs race in heats with a new race every 10 minutes; includes prizes. Great for cocktail parties. Paired together, our animal races are sure to liven up the party!

HUCK FINN KID’S FISHIN’ TOURNAMENTSlow down the pace a bit and drop a line into the water just like ol’ Huck Finn used to…with a cane pole. Of course, that doesn’t mean it is uncivilized. This fishing tournament is complete with a scoreboard, helpful staff, a cleanup station, and, of course, lemonade. We also provide the poles and bait. Every child will walk away with a fish trophy and, most likely, a fish tale of their own. Great for children ages 3-14!

LASER BATTLEFun for your whole team!This extreme sport is excellent for corporate events. Using infrared technology guns, teams battle it out on a playing field built with large inflatable props. The teams will be trained by Laser Battle staff to help build teamwork and group dynamics.

POWER BOAT POKER RUNCome experience an event like no other!The twist is that you will be traveling by water, not land, stopping at four different stops on the “Run.” Experience our unique Florida Keys waterways as you cruise to each location, where you will pick up 2 cards to add to your poker hand. Maximum of 6 people per boat.

POKER NIGHTYou’ve got to know when to hold ‘em, when the dealing’s done, to have any chance of winning our exciting Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Nights! Slide up to the table and let one of our Recreation Team deal the cards.

PINE WOOD REGATTAReady, Set, Build!Teams are given several materials to build a miniature sailing vessel. Compete in a series of heats to determine the fastest boat. Boats can sail with ambient wind, large fans if the event is held indoors, or be powered by a participant blowing bubbles through a straw behind the boat. A way for your team to work together in an event without having to use physical endurance or even get wet!

SURVIVOR CHALLENGEOUT-Sweat, OUT-Splash, Laugh OUT loud! Take away the camping, the politics and the bug eating and you’ve got yourself some wild challenges! From games such as Precious Run-Off, to the Hostile Desert; teams compete for immunity from Ultimate Trivia. To ensure participation from all, Survivor is based upon points rather than elimination. Highly recommended for adventure seekers!

TRIVIA NIGHTCompete as individuals, partners, or larger teams in this battle of wits! One of our Recreation Team members will put your general knowledge skills to the test in this fun event. Our team is also able to customize your group’s Trivia Night to include questions about your company, the boss’ middle name, or whatever your group desires!

GOLF CART ROAD RALLYThe Recreation Team will customize an interactive golf cart road rally, where team members will compete for points in a variety of challenges. Traveling around property by golf cart, in teams of four, team members will be led from challenge to challenge. Challenges could include, but are not limited to: Beach Challenges, Tennis Slams, Basketball Shootouts, Fitness Challenges, Chip Shot games, and Trivia.

SCAVENGER HUNT (GOLF CART)Truly an ORC Recreation Department Specialty! Given a list, a property guide, and a pen, teams travel the Club property, on golf carts, hunting for answers and items. Scavenger Hunts can be customized. Excellent for corporate teams.

GOLF CART POKER RUNSHaven’t you ever wanted to combine your two true passions? Competition while driving in a golf cart and playing poker all at the same time! You will travel the Club property on golf carts hunting for the next location, when you arrive at each location. Perform a challenge or answer a trivia question to receive a poker card. After 8 locations your team is to come up with the best poker hand! Excellent for corporate teams.

TREASURE HUNT (GOLF CARTS)Treasure Hunts are customized based upon age, interests, and group goal. Excellent for corporate teams. Travel the Club property on golf carts solving unique riddles and/or accomplishing challenges. Adult and family hunts available.

WALKING TREASURE HUNTPirates! Why drive when you can scavenge the property for clues and treasures? Each team will receive one riddle they must figure out to get them to the next location, where they will compete in a minute-to-win it challenge. If done correctly they will get a piece of treasure, and their next riddle. At the end of the hunt they will have all of the pieces to build their map to get them to their final destination. This is a race of the fittest and teams must come looking like a pirate to finish the event.

TROPICAL FRUIT CAR 500Play with your food! Build and race a vehicle made from fruits and veggies with the help of a few tools and your imagination! This hysterical event aPEELs to all ages! Race area will be decorated with checkered flags.

MURDER MYSTERY!This event balances itself between entertainment and suspense. MURDER Mystery Events can take two or three hours to complete and can accommodate a group of 20, a party of 100, or a crowd of 1,500 and are tailored to your event. Ample opportunities are available to suspend the entertainment and allow for speeches and presentations throughout the event. Themes are endless and so is the entertainment.

Rent out the Reef Rec Room and get 7 TV’s and a huge projector screen dedicated to your sporting event, with surround sound, add your own menu and private bar to make it all yours!

PING PONG TOURNAMENT!Single Elimination- Double Elimination…the Elimination is endless! Set up a Ping Pong Tournament anywhere you want it. With half a dozen tables or more, the balls will be flying at this timeless classic!

TENNIS & GAMES CENTER

MARGARITA MIXERLet the professional staff at the Tennis & Games Center treat your active group to fun and fitness with a twist! The pro will organize a round robin tennis social for your group in the afternoon or evening centered around our famous secret recipe of Margaritas. Players will get different partners and opponents each round with winners announced at the end of the round robin. Between rounds, players may sample, at their own risk, the delicious Margaritas served courtside!

CARDIO TENNIS CLINICAre you ready for a heart-pumping, sweat-producing physical workout that will shape you up while you work on your tennis skills? The Cardio Tennis class will do this and more. It’s a fast-paced tennis clinic designed to get you in shape while you get your game in shape.

ROUND ROBIN TOURNAMENTIf your group is looking for a fun way to get the tennis players out for a social or competitive tournament, why not let the Tennis & Games Center’s professional staff run a tournament for you? Players will be matched up with different partners and opponents for each round. The top 4 players will then pair off in a “Final” match complete with Professional umpires as the other players cheer them on!

CROQUET SOCIAL TOURNAMENTDon’t let the name fool you. This is one of the most popular events at Ocean Reef. We can handle groups from 6 to 32 people in this intriguing activity, that allows your group to network in ways that you could never do in golf or tennis. Players will be taught how to play Golf Croquet by the pro, who will then set up and organize a group tournament for you. All white attire is required.

CROQUET CLINICSticky wickets, roquets, deadness boards, and stop shots are just a few of the many terms used in playing Croquet. If you are interested in learning how to play the sport of Croquet, sign up with a group of 3 or more to learn about this fast-growing game. Players will be taught the basic grips and swings leading into single and double ball shots.

PRIVATE LESSONSReward the members of your group with the special attention they deserve with a private lesson in tennis or croquet. Lessons can be scheduled in advance with our highly regarded teaching staff.

PICKLE BALLA sport in which two; or four players, use solid paddles made of wood (or composite materials) to hit a perforated polymer ball over a net. Pickle Ball shares features with other racquet sports, the dimensions and layout of a Badminton court, and a net and rules similar to tennis, with a few modifications. Players first will be taught how to play and then really get to move on the court.

Looking for a new pastime or just a refresher to get back into the game? Join us in the Ocean Reef Card & Game Room!

Our Card & Game room offers a variety of games and events. Weekly Duplicate Bridge is available to all players and is hosted by our ACBL tournament sanctioned Director. From beginner to expert, our Bridge lessons, lectures, and clinics cater to all.

Bridge, Canasta, Mah Jongg, and poker, plus many other games are available for private events or lessons in each.

BASKETBALLLet our Recreation Team show you how we “Hoop it up” in the Keys! Set the teams in advance or pick them “playground-style.” We’ll organize a 3-on-3 tournament, full court games, or just some fast-paced shooting games.

BEACH FLAG FOOTBALLDown, Set, Hike! The Miami Dolphins we are not, but let us organize a game of flag football for your group on the beach! A referee, in black and white uniform, is available to officiate and keep the sand throwing to a minimum!

BEACH SOCCERBend it like Beckham on Buccaneer Island with an afternoon of beach soccer. Let our team organize a match or small tournament to meet the competitive needs of your group!

BLACKLIGHT MINI GOLF ‘Putt’ your nocturnal putting skills to the test when we blacklight our Mini Golf Course. Play using glow-in-the-dark balls and have a real blast!

BOCCE BALL TOURNAMENTA favorite lawn game and the perfect laid back activity to enjoy! An organized tournament-style play is set up and run by our Activity Coordinator officials.

MINI GOLF TOURNAMENTTee it up on our challenging Mini Golf Course for an afternoon of Fun!

VOLLEYBALLBump, set, or spike your way to some serious fun! Our Buccaneer Island sand court can be reserved for up to 3 hours. A referee, in black and white uniform, is available to lead tournaments.

BLACKLIGHT VOLLEYBALLThe patented Blacklight Volleyball system illuminates our Buccaneer Island sand volleyball court for evening play using fluorescent black lights. The net, ball, boundary lines, and players glow intensely during this party original! Includes fluorescent body paint and an official in referee shirt. Tournament or free play available.

ECO-KAYAK TOUROur most popular nature program, these laidback trips take you through mangroves, past bird rookeries, and leave you speechless as you see clearly to the bottom of the sea floor. We offer Advanced as well as Beginner trips and will even teach you the very basics of kayaking in our “Introduction to Kayaking” class.

EVERGLADES ALLIGATOR FARM TRIPLet our Recreation Team take you on a trip to the Everglades Alligator Farm where we enjoy live alligator and snake shows, as well as an exciting airboat ride.

OCEAN REEF BICYCLE TOURThis trip offers a combination of exercise and gaining an appreciation for the foliage of Ocean Reef Club. We coast through three of the different ecosystems present here at the Club: the Mangroves, the lush vegetation, and the Hardwood Hammocks during the 1 hour tour. Really get to know Ocean Reef Club and all it has to offer.

GUIDED NATURE WALKOn this guided walk through the Club, you’ll learn interesting facts about many of the plants you commonly see in this area. You’ll be amazed at what you can learn in one hour. This one-mile walk begins at the Inn Lobby and loops around the Inn, Marina and Buccaneer Island. Includes a souvenir Field Guide.

STAND UP PADDLEBOARD LESSON AND TOURLearn how to paddle standing up and enjoy a tour through the mangroves. Who knows what you might see among the birds, fish, rays, and much more!

THE BIRDS OF OCEAN REEFDid you know that over 100 species of birds have been spotted at Ocean Reef Club? Join us for a “bird scavenger hunt” as we try to spot as many different bird species as possible. Bring your binoculars or borrow a pair of ours for this golf cart-based watch for our feathered friends.

KAYAK ECO SCAVENGER HUNTTruly a once in a life time experience! When could you ever travel on a kayak, scavenging your way through the beautiful ocean waters past the mangroves and bird rookeries of the Florida Keys? Each team is given a map, a clue to get them to their next location, a card that shows them exactly what they may see, a net, and guidelines of how to find these objects. Sure to be a hit!

NIGHT STAND UP PADDLEBOARD TOURSLooking for a new exciting adventurous activity? Well night paddleboard tours are sure to get your heart racing. Our Sunset tour takes you in the water around Ocean Reef Club. Specialized paddleboards are geared with powerful underwater LED lights that provide a spectacular underwater view at night while you paddle around.

STAND UP PADDLEBOARD YOGATry something new with our Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga! The perfect mix of mind, body, and spirit all while balancing in the middle of the ocean!

STRETCH BREAKSImportant meetings all day? Stretch breaks are a great idea to get the group moving and motivated. A trainer will lead your group through a series of simple and fun stretches and exercises. Stretch breaks are generally 10 minutes in length

but can be altered to enhance all schedules.

TONING ON THE BEACHDon’t forget the importance of a good resistance workout while away from home. This class uses hand weights and rubber tubing to tone and tighten your muscles. A Club trainer will get you motivated with upbeat music and fun and creative workouts. This class is done on the beach at Buccaneer Island.

WAKE-UP POWER WALKThe Wake-Up Power Walk is the perfect way to see the beautiful sights of Ocean Reef, while getting your exercise. Your personal trainer/tour guide will take your group on an exhilarating trek through Ocean Reef Club, incorporating simple exercise movements and stretches during the walk.

WATER AEROBICSWater aerobics is a super way to energize your group. The outdoor pool on Buccaneer Island is heated to a comfortable temperature on cooler days, yet is very refreshing when the sun is shining.

BEACH BOOT CAMPSRejuvenate the body with an intense Beach Body workout.

ZUMBAFuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program that will blow you away. Our goal is simple: we want you to want to work out, to love working out, to get hooked.

YOGA ON THE BEACHThis is a great way to start the group’s day off on the right foot or to unwind at the end of the day. Yoga helps to strengthen, condition, and relax your muscles while improving flexibility and breathing. This one-hour class is available from sunrise to sunset on the beach at Buccaneer Island.

5K FUN RUNSLace up your sneakers and join in a fun 5k around The Reef. Prizes awarded to winners.

BREAK OUT SESSIONSNeed a 5 or 10 minute break from sitting all day in a meeting? Or how about some fun in a get-to-know-each-other Icebreaker Game?

HERE ARE A FEW OPTIONS TO ENJOY: BRING IN THE ANIMALS: Pet, cuddle, or admire some of the most famous animals on The Reef! STRETCH BREAK: Tight from sitting in a chair all day? How about some relaxing yoga to loosen up your muscles, relax your minds, and recooperate for your next session. Stretch Breaks can include chair stretches, floor stretches, and/or standing stretches. MEDITATION: Using breathing and relaxation techniques, relax your mind, relax your muscles, and enjoy a peaceful break.

ICE BREAKER GAMES: Get your body moving through fun, exciting, and interactive team games.

RECEPTION/PARTY INTRODUCTIONSSometimes groups need a little something to get the party started. Our recreation specialists can help start the fun with a short introductory game helping to not only relax the group, but also geared at getting to know you.

MARSHMALLOW CHALLENGEA remarkably fun and instructive design exercise that encourages teams to experience simple but profound lessons in collaboration, innovation and creativity. Each team is given 20 pieces of spaghetti, 1 marshmallow, 1 piece of string, and 1 foot of tape with 18 mins to complete.

HUMAN TWISTERTwister is a game of physical skill. Each of the four sections is divided into the four colors (red, yellow, blue and green). After spinning, the combination is called (for example: “right hand yellow”) and players must move their matching hand or foot to a circle of the correct color.

PIRATE RAIDAhoy Mates! Pirates of the sea will pillage and plunder your party!A lucky few will be picked out of the crowd to be initiated into the Pirate Brotherhood! Take your guests back to the days when pirates ruled the seas! Four pirates will be in full costume and participants in the initiation will receive swords, eye patches and pirate hats.

FIRE DANCEREnjoy a night of dangerous stunts and the art of fakir skills. Fire performance includes skills which are based on juggling, baton twirling, poi swinging and other forms of object manipulation. Fire performance, or at least some of the skills that form part of it, has been a traditional part of cultures from around the world.

MINUTE TO WIN IT CHALLENGES You only have one minute! These minute challenges will be sure get your group laughing all day long. We can come to a break out session or a night party and put together a series of different Minute to Win it challenge that relates to your group.

WIPEOUT PARTY Just like the TV show, we create our own Wipeout experience for everyone. CHEF PARTY Does your child love to cook? This party is designed to teach your guests how to create their own meals.

REEF CLUB KIDS CHILDREN’S CAMPS (AGES 5-10)Specialty parties for our younger guests! With interactive and exciting activities, the kids will be entertained. Parents can feel safe with trained counselors and sensible counselor/child ratios. Four-hour programs include theme games, crafts, dinner, theme souvenirs, and great memories!

Children are split according to age. Children must be toilet independent. Counselor: child ratio is 1:7. Minimum guarantee of 8 children includes “kid friendly” dinner.

SELECT FROM A VARIETY OF GREAT THEMES SUCH AS:

BUCCANEER PIRATE ADVENTURE: ARG, Mateys! You’ll be going through pirate training with the Buccaneers. If ye can walk the plank, wield yer sword, and learn the Pirate Code, you’ll join us on a treasure hunt.

CODE NAME: SECRET AGENT: Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to crack the case once you become sworn in as a Secret Agent. Remember, everything around you can be a clue!
