WHAT DO WE LIKE ABOUT THE SONG?The song genre is grime and it fits in with what

our group wants to do.We believe that the song would allow us to

produce an effective music video. Our target audience is aimed at teenagers

between the age of 16-25, who are fans of grime.

Overall our group is generally into grime and we have enough knowledge on this type of genre.

POSSIBLE SETTINGSThere are many different conventions that are accumulated

in the grime genre such as; clothing, locations and props that are used. Often in a lot of grime videos you see graffiti scattered around in certain places, this is to show the levels of social life in these certain areas, it also shows the lack of respect these artists have for their areas. Also by the use of graffiti people it shows to people watching the video that its their ends.

Typically, videos are filmed on streets that are local to the artists, places also used to film include car parks, estates, tower blocks mainly shot nocturnally.

INSPIRATIONAL MUSIC VIDEO’S

The first video is called 50 Grand by Skepta and devlin. It is mostly filmed on a estate which would be easily accessible.

The second video is called Jkl+Hyde by Dave. This video is also filmed on a block of flats and around different estates. The video is shot in Black and white on the streets of London.

The final video is called Pull up by JayKae. The video is filmed on the streets of Birmingham and includes visuals such as large groups of youths, nocturnal scenes and car park scenes.

PROBLEMS WITH THE VIDEOThere are a few issues we as a group are

going to have to change. There are a few words in the song which would not be suitable to have in our final music video. To change this issue we are going to have to edit the words/phrases out by either muting or blurring out or change the word slightly.

HOW WILL WE FILM IT?We decided as a group that by filming parts of the music

video in different locations would create a more realistic video. Locations we have decided on are an empty carpark, a street with bright street lights and a police station, either outside of the police station or by a police car. These locations would be suitable for the genre we’ve chosen (grime) and also the artist we are using. In addition, We are going to play the song from a phone to help us miming the lyrics but we will also bring scripts with lyrics to help. Then when it comes to editing we will mute the song out and replace it on ‘Final Cut Pro X’.
