• This person is vital to the outcome of the product. Once the footage has been filmed, it is entirely in this person’s hands to manipulate the footage to produce a continuous, and accurate interpretation of the director’s intention. The Editor is responsible for aligning and combining the shots and footage, mixing and matching to create a coherent and entertaining film. The film editor works with the raw footage, selecting shots and combining them into sequences to create a finished motion picture. Film editing is part of the post-production of the process.
