OUR FILM• Our genre is Documentary

• Our film is about a case where a man has been found after many years being stuck in a cabin. The man was kidnapped at the age of 15 then found at 35 years old.

• This is being set in a Cabin in a garden.

• The message of our film is to show how people can be kept in awful conditions without any clothes and poor supply of food and water without anyone knowing. It shows how horrible people can be in this world.

• The opening scene just gives a flavor of how poor this boys life was without giving details of how he is living now and how his life is different. The opening gives a mood of Mystery and sadness as people may wonder who brought him here and how he is going to survive.

INSPIRATIONS• A few documentaries that inspired us were:

• Ross Kemp Extreme world – This inspired us as there are many scenes if very poor living conditions.

• The news story “Kidnapping of Jaycee Lee Dugard” also inspired us as the storyline is similar. This was inspiring as it has police information, shots of her living conditions and pictures of her before/after. This girl was captured when she was 11 and held for 18 years. She was kept in a tent at the back of a garden, like our film.

TITLES AND FONT • The Fonts we’re going to use are Arial Black. We are using this as it ’s a serious

documentary which shows sophistication.

• The title of our Documentary is “Locked Up”. The reason for this title provides a clear meaning to what it is about. The title will also make the audience wonder what’s been locked up? For how Long?.

The film will generally be a dark, gloomy atmosphere as the documentary tells a story about a 30 year old man who’s been living in a cabin at the end of his kidnappers house for 15 years, since he was 15. The man is then found by neighbours near by as they suspect something isn’t right about the abandoned house.
