JOB DESCRIPTION Job title Ground Worker Department Maintenance Reporting to Contracts Supervisor Work location Your location is variable as the nature of this job requires travel to any of our properties, this includes properties that we currently maintain, or on contracts we may win in the future. Job purpose To provide quality repair and maintenance works. Work activity will depend on location, but will normally fall into the categories of void properties, general repair and maintenance, prior to paint or modernizations. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES To be fully competent in all aspects of ground works including fencing, service trenching, paving, close board, post and wire mesh, post and rail, hit and miss, hard scape, ramps, and key clamp. To liaise with tenants to arrange appointments, access arrangements, discuss works etc. To ensure works are carried out on time and to the customers’ reasonable satisfaction, and in accordance with good professional practice. To work with, and provide information relating to technical matters, to any group as directed by the Contract Supervisor. To liaise with other staff, Surveyors and Sub-contractors as necessary to ensure the timely completion of works within agreed operational targets. To ensure accurate and timely completion of all paperwork including job tickets and timesheets and ensure this is passed to your Supervisor within agreed timescales. To ensure that any required qualifications for your position remain valid and to ensure that any necessary training is arranged and undertaken within the specified timescales. To attend meetings, training sessions and conferences as required. To participate in the Group’s out of hour’s emergency service. To act at all times in accordance with the Group’s rules, policies, procedures and financial regulations. All employees must observe and comply with the Group’s Health and Safety Policies and Procedures; All employees must observe and continually promote the Group's Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy.
