Griltexare thermoplastic, solvent-free hot-melt adhesives. EMS-GRILTECH hasmany years of experience and holdsextensive know-how in the field ofthermoplastic adhesives based oncopolyamides and copolyesters.Griltex hotmelt adhesives are avail-able in granule and powder form in various particle sizes. They aremanufactured in our own polymerisation and grinding plantsin Switzerland and the USA.
Primidare cross linkers for weatheringresistant, environmentally friendlyand cost effective powder coatingsapplied to metal surfaces.
Grilonit are hardeners and reactive diluentsfor the epoxy industry. Applicationsrange from civil engineering tointermediates for the chemicalindustry.
Grilon are technical fibers and fusiblebonding yarns. EMS-GRILTECHfocuses on the production of tech -nical specialty fibers based onpolyamides. Products include fusiblebonding fibers made from copolya-mides or copolyesters, bicompo-nent fibers, and abrasion resistantpolyamide fibers, e.g. for thepaper machine industry.Using our thermoplastic separationand bonding yarns, knitted fabricscan be separated or textile compo-nents bonded. This leads to shorter production times and lower unit costs.
Nexylonare technical fibers for abrasivesmade out of polyamide (PA66).
Nexyleneis a high performance fiber for hotgas filtration made out of polyphenylene sulfide (PPS).
Grilbond are bonding agents supplied asready-to-use dispersions based onblocked isocyanates. These gua -rantee secure ad hesion betweenrubber and polyester reinforcementmaterials.

Primid is used to manufacture solvent-free powder coatings,which are resistant to rain, frost,sweltering heat and UV radiation.The most important applicationsare aluminium facades, structuralglazing and window frames, agri-cultural and construction equip-ment, heating and ventilation, andmetal furniture.
Clothing industryGrilon separation and bondingyarns allow use of rapid and effi-cient pro cessing technology andenable realization of new productinnovations. These yarns are suitable for applications includingunderwear, labels, chenille, elastictube-bands, bra-tubes, sewingthread and loop fixation.
Customer applications
Technical bondingGriltex hotmelt adhesives are usedin applications for automotive,electronics, fusible films andwebs, medical, and packagingas well as for apparel. Due to itssuperior bonding strength using aminimum amount of adhesive,Griltex hotmelt adhesives havebeen the preferred adhesivechoice for decades. From produc-tion to application, Griltex pro-ducts are characterized as environ-mentally friendly.
Paper machine clothingGrilon fibers are used for the manu-facture of paper machine felts.These are screen belts of enor-mous dimensions which run at veryhigh speeds and are used toshape, dewater and dry the papersheets. The high chemical andmechanical resistance of Grilonfibers considerably increase the life cycle of paper machineclothing.
Civil engineeringGrilonit reactive diluents, epoxyresins and hardeners play animportant role in modern civil engi-neering and construction. Theseepoxy systems are used in protec-tive coatings, highly durable floorcoverings, adhesives or injectionsystems.
High-performance tyresGrilbond is used for the manufac-turing of automotive tyres to ensure high- quality adhesion between therubber and reinforcement textile –even under severest conditions. Grilbond is also used for conveyorbelts and for drive and v-belts. OurGrilbond customers profit from safehandling, energy, material andproduction cost savings.

Outlook for the futureWith the development of newapplications in the fields of techni-cal bonding, we have the opportu-nity of selling Griltex in a growingmarket. Griltex applications areautomotive interiors, home textiles,filters, packagings, additives,shoes, printing and inks, master-batches and many more.
Within only a few years, Primidhas gained an important globalmarket share with powder coa-tings. The decisive toxicologicaladvantages promise growth for the coming years.
In the field of bonding agents,market development shows greatpotential. The economic and relia-ble solution by using Grilbondbonding agents is not yet used by all tyre manufactures. Newinnovative developments fromEMS-GRILTECH are in market introduction.
In the segment of paper machineclothing we are market leaderworldwide with our fibers. Thespinning process developed byEMS-GRILTECH allows us to produce new Grilon fibers whichenable our customers to manufac-ture new products. The potentialfor inno vative product develop-ment using flat, fusible, large countand bi-component fibers is far fromexhausted. With two productionsites for fibers we are a reliablepartner worldwide for many technical applications.
