Depending on the amount of meat you will be cooking and the size your grill is, you will have to decide on the number of briquettes you are going to need. Usually for a pound of meat to be cooked, one needs about 30 briquettes. If you are using a gas grill, you must know that it uses lava rocks. These lava rocks come with the grill itself.
