Preassembled Modules

Introduction

The Basic Module is a 40 x 40 x 40 cm cube created using a 12 mm nylon frame (PA6) reinforced with fibreglass. This cube is supplied with mounting holes and can be easily assembled in all dimensions with pinol screws. Once you have the Basic Module you can add sides, tops, base, cross braces, drawers, doors, etc. GRID comes in two colours, black (RAL 9011) and white (RAL 9016). GRID is designed by Peter J. Lassen. Comprising the individual parts of the collection, from the Basic Module, sides, tops, bases and cross braces to the insert kits with drawers and doors - elements that make it possible to tailor the furniture to precisely your needs. Preassembled Modules are a small selection of preassembled ’building blocks’ that can be used as they are or built up further to create just the kind of furniture you want. The collection consists of: Low tables with top in clear glass, mirror or black or white lacquered MDF. Stools and benches with top in black or white lacquered MDF or with upholstered seats in four different colours. Building modules consisting of preassembled basic modules in a variety of heights and widths. You can use the building modules as they are, or you can keep building by combining them with other building modules. You choose yourself which shelves, sides, cross braces, drawers, doors, etc. you want and how they should be placed. Showcases in three different heights with acrylic or polycarbonate. Shop displays with clear glass, clear mirror or bronze mirror. Can be used as they are or put them together yourself to make many different combinations. Standard delivery time is 4-6 weeks. GRID uses minimal packaging to ensure a quick and easy handling, and to avoid the unnecessary use and subsequent disposal of packaging. It is up to the receiver to check the delivery right away for any faults or omissions. Damages and missing parts should be reported immediately. Any missing items or damages incurred during transport are only covered when marked on the delivery note.

Introduction

Assembly

In general, GRID is supplied in loose components for own assembly. All the necessary screws and screw-bits, as well as the assembly instructions, are included in the shipment. Recommended work tool is a small, battery driven screwdriver. However, Preassembled Modules are delivered preassembled, as shown on pages 10-19. Should you wish to receive larger installations already preassembled, please contact us for a quote. On standard products, GRID offers a two-year guarantee on defective or flawed goods. Natural wear-and-tear of outer surfaces and upholstery is not included in this guarantee. Any complaints should be made immediately. Products can only be returned upon prior agreement. GRID reserves the right to make regular changes and improvements to our product range. We take no responsibility for mistakes in printing, and this price list replaces all previous price lists.

Assembly Instructions

General

Basic Module, stacked

Always turn the Basic Module so the sides without mounting holes are positioned vertically.

Always start from the bottom.

Use a battery driven screwdriver with the bit and pinol screws supplied.

4 x standard pinol screws, M4x20 mm. 1 in each side.

Screw down the 4 pinol screws until they are flush with the surface.

Basic Module, side by side

Shelf/side, mdf, mounted vertically

4 x standard pinol screws, M4x20 mm. 2 for the top and 2 for the bottom.

Screw in the 4 pinol screws until they are flush with the surface.

4 x standard pinol screws, M4x20 mm.

Screw 2 pinol screws in as shown; they should stick out approx. 10 mm.

Push the shelf/side down over the pinol screws and push it into place.

Screw down the last 2 pinol screws until they are flush with the surface.

Shelf/side, acrylic or polycarbonate, mounted vertically



Push the shelf/side in over the pinol screws and push it into place.

Screw in the last 2 pinol screws until they are flush with the surface.

4 x special (short) pinol screws, M4x12 mm.


Push the shelf/side down over the pinol screws and push it into place.

Screw in the 2 last pinol screws until they are firmly into the shelf/side.

Shelf, glass/mirror



Place the shelf over the pinol screws.

Shelf/side, acrylic or polycarbonate, mounted horizontally

4 x special (short) pinol screws, M4x12 mm.


Push the shelf/side in over the pinol screws and push it into place.

Screw in the 2 last pinol screws until they are firmly into the shelf/side.

Seat


Place the seat into place.


The cross brace can only be fitted vertically.

Turn the cross brace so that the small ball bearings face up/downwards.

Push the cross brace down so that the ball bearings click into the mounting holes at the bottom, then press the uppermost corners into place.

Place the basic modules on the base.

Push the panel down over the pinol screws and push it into place.

Screw down the last 2 pinol screws until they are flush with the surface.

Set of castors

4 x castors with brakes 1 x cross beam Screws, 4.5x16 mm.

The cross beam should be placed in the middle of the base and fixed with the screws supplied.

The castors should be placed 25 mm. from the edge in each corner and fixed with the screws supplied.

Hanging rail

Set of adjustable legs

4 x adjustable legs 1 x cross beam Screws, 4.5x16 mm.

The cross beam should be placed in the middle of the base and fixed with the screws supplied.

The adjustable legs should be placed 25 mm. from the edge in each corner and fixed with the screws supplied.

1 x hanging rail 2 x support fittings 2 x screws, 4.5x25 mm.

The 2 support fittings are fixed to each side with the screws supplied. Make sure they are placed evenly.

One of the sides is attached first. Holding the hanging rail between the two support fittings, attach the other side.

Drawer insert

2 x standard pinol screws, M4x20 mm. 1 x Drawer Insert

The drawer insert is pushed into place, and the 2 pinol screws are screwed in until they are flush with the surface.

The pinol screws can be screwed in from the top as shown, or from the bottom.

Door kit 1 x glass door 1 x door handle with screw 1 x door stop with screw 2 x hinges 1 x drill piece (4 mm.)

The 3 mounting holes shown on the diagram should be drilled out with the drill piece supplied.

The door stop is pushed down completely as shown on the diagram and the little screw is screwed into it.

The hinges should be held in place while the door is fitted in. Tighten the screws on the 2 hinges lightly so the door can be adjusted, before carefully tightening them firmly.

Finally, the door handle can be attached.
