Greetings I love this time of the year. The sun has long passed its winter solstice and its arc is climbing towards the long and lovely Muskoka summer days.It has been an interesting winter. Fall was seemingly short with a deluge of snow in November which paralyzed the area for 4 days only to all melt away for Christmas! In that very small window we witnessed an unusual number of sales in our office. Samantha and I alone shepherded a sale of $4 million and $1,900,000 all prior to New Year’s Day. Then the snow arrived again and did not leave this time! 2015 marks a very special year. It is Chestnut Park Muskoka’s 20th anniversary and my own with this incredible company as well. This presents a wonderful window to gaze back and look forward thru. So many changes have occurred across the lakes. I often visit properties that may or may not have changed dramatically and enjoy the wealth of historical knowledge I can share with colleagues siting original Patents, Landmarks, Family Legacies past present and future. As so much has changed, much still remains the same- the true beauty and essence of Muskoka and those prideful owners who cherish our area and their respective properties. The year in full completed with approximately $250 million dollars in sales for Chestnut Park. A year 11 percent greater than our last record breaking year of 2007. Muskoka Lakes sales volume has climbed by 20% since 2012 with 2014 concluding with 50 sales over $2M as opposed to 30 in 2013 an increase of approximately 66 percent in this sector alone. This strength was more exclusive to our area notwithstanding that our area has the more expensive properties. Most exciting is sales statistics reveal that Chestnut Park Muskoka lead our next competitor by 120%! Following in Tandem with the above mentioned growth in real estate sales is the recently reported statistics from the Township of Muskoka Lakes Building Department which I am charting in brief for your interest. Personally, 2014 for me followed suit with our company’s performance and was my best performing year to date. I celebrated my 20 th season as the top Chestnut Park Muskoka Agent and watched in great excitement my daughter Samantha usher numerous sales of her own from 390,000 to 4,000,000. We enjoyed tremendously the honour of representing once again all spectrums of the market as featured in colour herein to the extent of transacting 50M dollars in Sales.
