Green Valley's Got Talent
The House Band: Hardscrabble Road Opens the Show
Wow! What a show at the third Green Valley's Got Talent Showcase! First, we
must give a sincere apology to the nearly 50 folks who came out but were not able
to squeeze into the theater. Even with adding seating on the stage behind the
performers, we were not able to accommodate everyone! We are so sorry that we
seem to have created a problem! Read on to hear our solution to over-
attendance!
Second, we want to applaud the performers who delivered an evening of
scintillating performances. Crooning, bluegrass, didgeridoo, hip hop dancing, jazz,
poetry—the evening had it all! The audience clapped, hooted, and hollered its
appreciation for our homegrown Greater Green Valley Area talent! And a big thank
you to our volunteers, without whom this event literally would not happen!

NEW! Matinee and Evening Performances Reservations Required!
To help accommodate the incredibly supportive Green Valley community, we
will add a 3:00 p.m. matinee to our offerings while maintaining the 6:00 p.m.
evening performance. To do this, we will be taking reservations for our
shows. Here is how it will work:
Write to [email protected] to reserve your ticket.
Specify which performance you would like to attend and how many will be
in your party.
 Include your phone number.
Specify if you would like to request special needs seating (handicapped).
Also, specify if you would like to have on-stage seating. We would ask that
you consider an additional donation for the privilege of sharing the space
with our talented performers.
Your reservation will be confirmed by an email response and held in your
name on your word.
Please be responsible and let us know if the number in your party changes.
Featured Performers for February 13 Showcase
The Green Valley Saxophone Quartet
This talented quartet of saxophonists from the Green Valley Concert Band does it
all: old jazz standards, happy-go-lucky arrangements of popular songs, humorous
side trips, and a touch of the classical. This is a must see! Of course, the concert
will feature the usual assortment of other acts, depending on who shows up to
audition. Right now the audition schedule is about three-quarters full. If you plan on
auditioning, let us know right away by calling Larry Worster at 303-641-3596.
Seating in the CPAC Theater! Seating will be on a first come, first served basis. As always, we reserve priority
access seating for the handicapped in our audience. Seating on the stage will be
by reservation. This seating creates a feeling of theater-in-the-round as pioneered
by Shakespeare in the Globe Theater in London. Patrons who sat in these seats at
the last show reported that the experience was unique and wonderful. Attendees
will have their choice of being up close and intimate with the performers or taking
advantage of the raked floor and comfortable seating in the main theater.
Refreshments during the Intermission
We structure each evening with an intermission to give patrons an opportunity to
take advantage of the cash bar. CPAC offers a nice selection of alcoholic and non-
alcoholic beverages. As always, thanks to our bartender George for his great
service!
Sign Up for Your Audition Now! Slots are filling up! Auditions are always on the first Monday of the month. Our next audition is at 6:00
p.m. on February 6 in the CPAC Studio B or by video. Sign up by emailing us at
[email protected] or calling Larry Worster at 303-641-3596.
Auditions: February 6, March 6
Showcases: February 13, March 13
Free to the public: Donations encouraged! At January's event, we suggested a donation of $7 or more per person at the door.
We have received positive feedback on the suggested increase, with many
attendees donating even more than the suggested minimum! As a Board, we are
committed to keep admission to our showcases accessible to everyone and remain
with a suggested donation rather than selling tickets. We want everyone,
regardless of their ability to contribute, to be able to share in our rich community of
music, magic, and the arts! Because of your increased donations, we are meeting
our financial obligations. Thank you to everyone who makes this possible!
Online Survey The GVGT Board welcomes all comments and suggestions. If you know of
someone who has a talent that you think should be shared, please feel free to
suggest them to the board. If you have ideas for improvements or simply praise for
what we are doing, please take our two-minute online survey by clicking on the link
