PRINCIPAL’S REPORT

School Plan 2018-2020 Over the next few weeks the staff and community will be going through the process of developing a new school plan. We will be seeking and valuing parent feedback by observing available evidence and evaluating and reflecting on the current school plan. This is so that we can continue with the success of our great school and ensure that our students connect, succeed and thrive whilst attending GVPS. We value your opinion, so if you are asked to provide feedback by one of our friendly staff members please take the time to have your say.

Congratulations to the junior girls basketball team who are undefeated champions in this PSSA season. Well done to: Zoe Sarris, Keely Lay, Mikayla De Groot, Liana Elsoufi, Celina Cloke, Angelina Salaberry, Neomai Akoteu, Maryam Aziz, Jennat Al Mosawi and Ava Townsend.

SCHOOL INFORMATION

P&C RAFFLE

The Christmas Raffle will be drawn at the K-6 Assembly on Friday 8th December. Tickets are $1 each. All money and tickets to be returned to the school office by Thursday 7th December. Please ensure every ticket has a name and class or contact number.

SWIMMING SAFETY DAY WHEN: Monday 4th December WHERE: Michael Wenden Swimming Centre TIME: 8.30am—approximately 2.45pm All students need to:

Wear sports uniform or house colours with their swimmers underneath.

Bring appropriate medication eg: Puffers.

Bring plenty of sunscreen and a hat.

Bring their goggles and a towel (students may also like to bring an extra towel/blanket to sit on).

Bring plenty to drink, recess and lunch. There will be NO Canteen facilities available.

Spectators are welcome to attend, but will need to pay a spectator fee to Michael Wenden Swimming Centre on their way into the pool.

VOLUNTARY CONTRIBUTIONS $40 for one student
