• Borough of Poole became a signatory of the EU Covenant of Mayors in 2012
• Commitment to reduce Poole’s carbon emissions by 20% by 2020
• Poole-based businesses and representatives from the Borough of Poole and Poole Chamber
• Innovative energy saving and carbon reduction scheme launched in October 2013
• Aims to support organisations in reducing energy costs, improving their green credentials, reducing carbon
• Free to join certification scheme• Members: LUSH, Brittany Ferries, Dolphin

Green PEA: Funding• Green PEA’s delivery partner AVC funding offer:
Energy Performance Contract• Funding of energy upgrades from energy savings • Implementation of energy efficiency or renewable
energy project• Remuneration is based on demonstrated

must be a maximum of 5 years.

• Over 30 organisations asked for more information with 9 members already registered
• New meetings are happening on a weekly basis • Official launch in the next few months
Green PEA Current Position• 42 Green PEA Members• Current Savings over a ten year period: from installed
recommendations, members will save:
£108,418 and 519,232kg CO2
Green PEA: Targets• 6% of local businesses (720) to achieve excellence by 2020
• Reduction in carbon emissions of 95,200tCo2 by 2020
• 160 Green PEA members by 2016
