P-BDP stands for Paragon Bio-Degradable Plastic and it is made from plant starch (usually corn) and compostable in normal conditions. In a basic compost bin P-BDP will be broken down to around 91.7% at 126 days approximately and 100% within a year.
What is PLA?
Polylactic acid (PLA), a plastic substitute made from fermented plant starch (usually corn).
PLA is compostable in an industrial composting facility heated to 140 degrees Fahrenheit and fed a steady diet of digestive microbes. But it will take far longer in a compost bin. Analysts estimate that a PLA bottle could take anywhere from 100 to 1,000 years to decompose in a landfill.
The advantages of using P-BDP.
100% Non-Polluting, Biodegradable and Compostable.
P-BDP products are biodegradable. In a natural environment, our products will be degraded into fragments within 4 months,and will fully degraded into organic fertilizer, water and small amount of carbon dioxide within 1 year.
P-BDP is Non-toxic in the event of burning.
Our product has low carbon content and will not give off any harmful toxins in the event that it is incinerated.
P-BDP is a lower cost alternative to PLA and other Plastics.
