May the divine light of Diwali illuminate your lives with happiness and prosperity!
After two years of deficient monsoon, the country has witnessed normal monsoon. This has resulted in higher area under cultivation for various crops and a very high likelihood for a record harvest and farm income this year.
I am pleased to share with you that Tata Agrico has registered impressive growth in market share and operating performance across product segments in the first six months of this financial year. I take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to each one of you for your sincere efforts and contribution.
For Tata Steel, Safety and Ethics are not just a performance metric , but a way of life. We will therefore regularly share relevant information and articles on Safety and Ethics with each one of you. This issue contains an article on Tata Steel’s Gift Policy.
We are pleased to announce that based on your inputs , we have launched several new products like “Spoon Crow Bar” , “ 14 CP Super pick Axe” , “Tea Leaf plucker” , “New Rotavator blades” , “Sockets” and “Band-Saw blades” in the last six months. Very soon, these products will be available at national level.

Over the years, Tata Steel has placed significant
importance on the much valued support and

worked on initiatives to strengthen the

our policy on Corporate Gift & Hospitality, for
which we request your support in implementing it,
in letter and spirit. Business gifts and hospitality
are occasionally used in the course of business
activity as a means to build goodwill and
strengthen working relationships among business
associates. However, gifts or hospitality (including
entertainment or travel) may create conflict of
interest and/ or influence the decision making. As
per Tata Steel's policy, employees of the
Company shall not accept gifts of cash, gold, other
precious metals, gems, stones, goods, service, non
–cash benefit ,monetary benefit of any value
under any circumstances. The policy does
make allowance for token gifts during festivals or
other ceremonial occasions, commensurate with
the culture and occasion and is limited to flowers,
sweets or any other eatables. As per the policy,
during New Year, articles of office use like
stationery, desk accessory with logo of the donor
Company are acceptable. Gifts being given outside
the workplace or venue of the business
event or to the family members of our employees
are against the gift policy. In the case of
promotional trips, no daily allowances, cash
advances, cash payments of any nature, airline
travel, whether domestic or international,
overnight accommodation is to be offered to our
employees. In circumstances where participation
in a Business Associate supported event is deemed
necessary for a business and bulk booking
arrangements are made by the Business Associate
for travel and/ or accommodation, the pro-rata
costs has to be reimbursed or preferably paid
directly to the provider of travel and/ or
accommodation. We would urge you as our
partner to respect the spirit of the policy and as a
good principled business associate refrain from
offering anything in cash or kind to our employees.

T aking forward Tata Steel’s commitment to Safety, Tata Agrico organizes Safety Mass meetings at EPA premises throughout the country on time to time basis. The Safety Meetings serve as a platform to sensitize our EPA Partners regarding our Commitment To Zero as well as provide safety training to their employees. This quarter we had organized Safety Mass Meetings for our
EPAs based in Eastern India – Ghamaria, Adityapur & Hubli. The meetings were a huge success with 100% attendance of permanent and temporary employees across EPAs. The topics covered were Electrical Safety, Gas Safety, Fire Safety, Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), handling process inside the plant, Chemical Safety etc.
To measure the success of our sessions, safety quizzes were conducted at the end for all the participants. Responses received were encouraging, which reflected the achievement of our objective i.e Inking an Indelible Mark Of Safety.

Mi AGRICO the new order management App for our Valued Dealer Network was launched successfully in the territories of Krishna Trader, Maharashtra & Jamula Satyanarayana , Orissa. During the App Launch a knowledge sharing session was conducted by the Sales & Marketing Team of Agrico. Following the introduction to the App , a hands on experience training was conducted for the attending dealers. The new app will ensure a hassle free verification process & redemption of reward points. The App is ready for its nation wide launch in Third Quarter.

Consumer Meet carried out in Karjan Taluka of Baroda District by Shree Shaktee Enterprise. The meet was attended by 55+ consumers . The attendees showed keen interest in the Agrico product range displayed . Similar Farmer Meets & Consumer meets were carried out in Sangli by Krishna Traders.
70+ Dealer boards were distributed and displayed in Madhya Pradesh by Global Enterprise to increase awareness of Files, GPHT & Garden Tools.
Dealers Meets were organized in Nagpur by Sheikh Fida Ali & in Ahmedabad by Vision Procon. These meets were attended by 40+ Dealers both in Nagpur & Ahmedabad. The meetings served as platform to share relevant product knowledge with our valued dealer network and collect relevant market inputs

Shri Nagappa Traders participated in United Agri Expo, Madurai to create awareness about Agrico Product Range. A sale of 1.15 Lakh was done during this Expo.
Dealer Meet was conducted in Gulbarga in the month of Aug in association with JP Udyog . The dealer meet was attended by 20+ Dealers .

Retailer Meets were conducted at Gajraula & Muzzafarnagar during the month of September in association with M/s Vikrant Iron. Both the meets were a huge success with a total of 66 Dealers attendees. The far reaching effects of the meets include additional sales of 1 Lakh per month (approximately) , increased awareness & consistent growth of business. The retailers were briefed about Agrico’s Product Range & recent product launches. This was followed by interactive feedback session

To build awareness of Agrico products at the grass root level & motivate prospective Sub Dealers & Retailers , a market impact team was instituted in association with SM Corporation in the last quarter. First phase of this novel idea was executed in the month of October with the Impact team personally overseeing the installation banners , danglers etc & other branding activities. This activity increased the reach of Agrico in North East & helped gain valuable market-specific & product-specific feedback. The first phase was carried out at Barabazar, Upper Nongthumai & Laitumukhra.

The year 1965 marked the beginning of the
corporate journey of the Partnership Firm: Harish
Brothers. The firm is headquartered at Solan,
Himachal Pradesh and has a Branch Office at
Parwanoo. Harish Brothers commenced its
journey as Tata Agrico Channel Partner in the year
2006. Since then there has been no looking back
for this Parivaar Member! Harish Brothers has
come a long way from its initial turnover of INR 20
Lakhs in 2006. In FY16 it touched the INR 3.58 Cr
mark through sheer dedication and consistent
hard work of its team members. Over years, they
have grown their business consistently in the
mountainous terrains of Himachal Pradesh.
A family owned business, Mr. Neeraj Goel was
initially instrumental in developing the business
and later handed it over to his sons Mr Sachin Goel
& Mr Nitin Goel in due course of time. Post his
retirement, Mr. Neeraj Goel acted as a
guiding force to steer the business in the
right direction besides leading a peaceful
retired life at their home town.
Currently Harish Brothers is operating with
a dedicated work force of four Distributor
Sales Officers and one Business Manager.
Together, this hardworking team serves a
dealer network of 350 – 400 dealers across
Himachal Pradesh. The dealer list includes
retailers of Traditional Tools, Files, Garden
Tools and Hand Tools. Moreover recently
Harish Brothers have forayed into
Mechanized business of Tata Agrico in
Himachal Pradesh.
Their success can be attributed to their
valued relationship with their channel
partners across the state, successful execution of
dealer schemes and product promotion activities,
and their deep sense of responsibility towards
Agrico Business. They have bagged the best
distributor award in the year 2009.
Over years their sincerity and loyalty have ensured
they are in good books of all their accounts.
Moreover this has helped them gain business
opportunities. They are currently channel partners
for Tata Wiron, Dulux and Havells among others.
This is not all, their deep sense of responsibility
extends to community welfare as well. They
believe in sharing their wealth with less fortunate.
They have donated furnishing and clothing among
others to Himgiri Kalayan Ashram located at Solan.
