• There were 12 Olympians. They were each chief gods of the Greek Pantheon. Their names were Zeus, Hera, Poseidon, Ares, Hermes, Hephaestus, Aphrodite, Athena, Apollo, and Artemis. Zeus led his siblings to win in War against the Titans.

manner.

• This statue is a Roman Variant of Kinidian Aphrodite.

• There was a relationship between Praxiteles (the sculptor) and his model. His models name was Thespian Phryne.

• This statue was created in the fourth century BC.

325 – 300 BCE.

• This statue is an early classical style.

• This statue was found in Olympia around 470 BC.

• The sculptor was mostly focused on the body.
