20 JUL - 15 SEPTWATERCOLOUR BRILLIANCEShowcasing the brilliance of Australian watercolour through the remarkable collection of Hamilton Gallery. Such artists as Napier Waller, Lionel Lindsay, Hans Heysen, Frank Hinder and John Wolseley demonstrate the potential for fine nuances, as well as spontaneous expression in their landscapes, portraiture, still lifes, abstract compositions and direct, expressionistic modes of painting. Drawing on a long history of tradition and experimentation, this exhibition reveals transition and how contemporary artists explore the malleability of the watercolour medium, producing new and unexpected results.Exhibiting the distinctive light and atmosphere of the Australian landscape, we celebrate the important contribution watercolour has made to the development of Australian art in the twentieth century. Works in this exhibition have been selected to show experimental combinations of various media and techniques in modernist and contemporary Australian art.

7 SEPT - 3 NOVGREAT MOVEMENTS OF FEELINGGreat Movements of Feeling, is an in-depth group project, curated by Zara Sigglekow and initially supported by Gertrude Contemporary and the Next Wave Festival. The project considers emotion as a cognitive and bodily force that drives, circulates and sticks. With discursive and centrifugal ambitions, this exhibition observes human emotion through personal and historic lenses.

3 NOV - 8 DECVCE CREATIVE SHOWCASEExhibition features work created by local VCE students undertaking studies in a range of creative subjects. Work is selected from secondary schools in the Southern Grampians Shire Council: Baimbridge College, The Hamilton and Alexandra College, Monivae College, Good Shepherd College and Balmoral Community College.
