Main Reading Room, Floor 1Busy, but fairly quiet area with quick access to computers. Comfy chairs and couches near the fireplace.
Sun Porch, Floor 1Cozy chairs and small tables that look out on to the Terrace and Alston. Usually very quiet.
Elmore Reading Room, Ground FloorLots of comfortable chairs and sunlight. It’s so peaceful, students often nod off to sleep!
Stairwell Study Nook, Floor 2Designed by a student. Popular location for independent study. Window looks out on the center of campus.
Group Study RoomsAvailable on: Floor 1, Stack 1, Stack 2, and Floor 3. Groups of 2 or more have priority. Please talk quietly since sound travels through the walls.
Group Media Rooms, Ground FloorIndividuals or groups who need to watch a film for a class receive priority. All rooms have television, DVD player and VCR. One room has a large screen monitor and a computer for group presentations practice.
Open Carrels, Floor 1These first come, first serve carrels are located near the Reference Collection. Several have a window that looks out on to the Terrace. All are equipped with power outlets and individual lamps.
Terrace, Floor 1Sit outside with your books and laptop. Perfect place to eat a snack while studying since we discourage
consumption of smelly, greasy food inside the library.
Quiet Study, Floor 3 & Stack 3Silence is strictly enforced on Floor 3 and Stack 3. There are several open tables, chairs and couches.
