What did they wear?People in this region wore breech cloths.Women wore dresses , leggings , and
moccasins.The men wore war bonnet decorated
with eagle feathers. the Sioux tribe wore ceremonial dresses.
what their clothes is made of
Dress were made from soft deer skin.
They used the soft fur from rabbits to decorate their clothing.
How were their clothes made ?Plains Indians made all of
their own clothing.Most all of their clothes
were made from animal skin.Antelope and deer were
often used.

WHAT WERE THE AVAILABLE FOODS IN THE GREAT PLAINS?
The available foods in the Great Plains were buffalo and deer. The men in the tribes were the hunters. The women of the tribes were the ones who baked. The young boys and girls learned from experience.
HOW DID THEY HUNT?They hunted by sticking spears in the
animals’ back to weaken them. When they are weak enough the hunters finish them off with one last spear. They could also herd the buffalo over a cliff.
WHAT DID THE WOMEN COOK FOR MEALS?
The Native Americans would usually eat corn, or maize, beans and squash .
