Good Leaders, Good Communicators

There’s no mystery here. Regardless of whether you’re talking about business, politics, sports or the military, the best leaders are first-rate communicators. Their values are clear and solid, and what they say promotes those values. Their teams admire them and follow their lead. You must realize and accept that clear communication is always a two-way process. It’s not enough to speak clearly; you have to make sure you’re being heard and understood. To facilitate this, use the following two-way communication primer:

• Prepare how you’ll communicate• Deliver the message• Receive the message• Evaluate the effectiveness of the communication afterwards• Take corrective action as necessary

Hitler’s Communication Skills

In order to sway the German masses to follow him, Hitler had to be a master communicator. He also knew what the people wanted to hear and he exploited that.He was ruthless with words and would exert so much emotion in his speeches that people thought he would back up anything he said.He would actually practice his speeches and knew what hand gestures went where for emphasis. He would sometimes start real quiet and then elevate his voice with a loud noise of rage and hatred. His speeches included propaganda and backed up his opinions with, what would seem like concrete facts.

"A single blow must destroy the enemy... without regard of losses... a gigantic all-destroying blow.“
