A police officer pulls over two nuns riding on a motorcycle,

and said to the rider, 'Ma'am, you're driving much too slowly,

could you please drive faster?"• And the nun says, 'Oh, I saw

the sign with the "21" and assumed the speed limit was 21

km/h" • The officer explains: 'No ma'am, the speed limit is

80. The highway number is Interstate 21." • Then the police

officer look at the passenger and see the other nun shaking

like a leaf. • "Excuse me sister,

but what's wrong with your pas-

So you think you want a Proj-ect Car? Maybe one you can tinker on your self and have the bigger jobs like Engine and Trans overhaul and paint work done by a shop (if you need to). Where do you start, what car do I look for? How much should I pay? Do I look for a barn find or a project some-one else started and can’t or didn’t finish? Do I buy off the internet or local? How do I know I am getting what I am paying for? What will it cost to get from what I buy to where I want to be with my car.Well let’s take a good look at each of these questions and maybe I can help you sort them out. The first thing is what car to buy, my advice to you is buy what makes you feel good, what makes you happy and what you can see yourself spending spare time enjoying-working on-and talking about. As well as doing research on to meet your end goal.(That’s right you need an end goal).Ok you have a car in mind and be re-alistic (because the next article we will talk about is budgeting)

Getting Started Choosing a Project Car

Now let’s say you have chosen a Galaxie or maybe a Nova to be your project…(Re-gardless of what car you have chosen). Keep in mind parts availability. For example a 1973 Nova is an odd ball it’s very similar to earlier Novas in appear-ance but different enough that many parts won’t enterchange and can make it very difficult to build or find parts for. The same holds true for the 1967 Galxie or a 1964 Fairlane. So now you’ve got the car you want in your head it’s time to find it. The

Internet is a great resource but there is noth-ing like going on a hunt.(and I

highly recommend seeking out the car

of your dreams in person) I am always disappointed at what

I find on the Internet.( looking better in the

pictures than in per-son). Just hit the road in

search. Look in the back lots and back yards you may be surprised at what you find. As always you can email any questions or comments to me @ [email protected] ..until next month…!

EZ Clutch Install Ride in comfort for around $50.00

A easy clutch is a good up grade for the daily rider. It saves your wrists and reduces hand cramps . If you’ve ever been stuck in traffic during Thunder Beach you understand how much that clutch will wear you out. It is a low cost easy upgrade to do with hand tools and an hour or two of your time.. Burly offers a easy clutch for just under thirty bucks Add in gaskets and fluid and your still around the fifty mark. You will need: Allen wrenches , Loctite, ratchet screw driver & a drain pan.First locate the clutch cable adjustment and loos-en the adjuster all the way in so you have plenty of slack in the cable . Next if needed remove the rear exhaust pipe or the front depending on the type of exhaust you have on your scooter. you need to be able to get to the transmission cover . Its possible that you might have to re-move the floorboards on some bike to remove the exhaust. The exhaust is pretty simple to remove just go slow and it will be easy. Sometimes you may have to pull the chrome covers off of your pipes to get them loose . Just think and go slow you will be fine. Now that you have the exhaust off you need to make sure you don’t have any covers or chrome things to hold up the cover from coming off. There’s lots of covers on this bike so we have to be slow and take our time to make sure we don’t bend or scratch anything. -Remove the Allen head screws holding the cover on. Careful! There will be fluid com-ing out so have your pan ready to catch the oil. With the cover upside down remove the clutch ramp retaining snap ring . Do not to loose the ball bearing inside . Cont....

Page 10: Grease Inc Magazine

EZ Clutch Continued Lift the ramp out. Remove the cable retainer and ramp. Now attach easy clutch to the ramp with supplied hardware. IMPOR-TANT! use Loctite . You now start the reassembly of the unit in reverse . Attach cable to re-tainer and retainer to ramp. Pos-tion the bearing in the groves. Make sure that they don’t fall out.. Stick ramp in and place snap ring back in place.

Now place the new gasket on the transmission and place cover on the body. Make sure you put loctite on the allen screws. Re-place allen screws in the cover and snug down . Once snuged down then go back and tighten. Make sure you don’t over tight-en. Aluminum strips easy with the cover on repace exhaust and floorboard. And chrome covers .

Adjust the clutch cable on the bike and your ready make sure you squeeze the cable three times to make sure the balls rest in place before you lock down the jam nuts. Easy clutch done go ride and enjoy cramp free hands.

The Bonhams auction firm is solicit-ing motorcycle consignments for its second Las Vegas motorcycle auction in January, but it won’t be easy to be the star of this show. Already slated for the Jan. 12 auction at the Imperial Palace hotel is an impressive collection of 40 rare and vintage motorcycles from the DuPont collection, made up of an Indian Camelback, a Manx Norton and a Vincent Black Shadow, and more all of which are to be offered without reserve. Also anticipated for the auction are col-lectable racing and road machines from classic brands such as of Hen-derson, Vincent, Ariel, BMW, Harley-Davidson. Bonham’s first Las Vegas motorcycle auction sold more than 200 bikes for a total of more than $2.5 million.

You can expect to see one of these tacti-cal high performance new cop cars on the street in the near future. With an ex-pected highway life of over 250,00 miles and a list of features that would impress Starfleet, more than 20,000 of the new Carbon Motors E7 are currently on order including several slated for right here in Georgia. Carbon Motors says the E7 is the first purpose-built law-enforcement vehicle and refers to the vehicle as “The Machine”.Powered by a BMW 3-liter twin-turbo 6-cylinder diesel engine the E7 is said to be capable of 28 to 30 m.p.g. in combined city-highway driving and will accelerate from a stop to 60 m.p.h. in 6.5 seconds with a top speed above 150 m.p.h. The exterior is designed with integrated emer-gency lighting and the prominent bumper bars can spin out fleeing suspects using the P.I.T. maneuver familiar to late-night viewers of police reality shows. Back doors are hinged at the rear to make it easier to load suspects. Advanced elec-tronic gear includes: infrared cameras for enhanced night vision, license plates recognition technology & a console printer to produce speeding tickets expe-ditiously. We Motor Heads all love hanging out in shops where you chill out, talk project builds, figure out

how to get more HP from your ride.

Now take that same great shop and put a Tattoo Shop

right in the middle of it!. What you have is JET Stu-dios. Located in Campbells Customs in Hampton, GA. First things first!! Campbells Customs is your one stop

automotive car build shop, ownd and operated by James Campbell, a recognized leader in the industry specializing in authentic restorations and collision repairs, Campbells Customs has created the ultimate garage!! Jet Studios, aka Jeremiah Turner has been an artist all his life. He ʻfellʼ into tattooing after a serious motorcycle accident. Prior to the accident, Jeremiah began his quest and attention in tattoo-ing, but more as a hobby and inspiration as he “likes to push the envelope by giving his artistic approach a challenge”. Jeremiah truly believes that there is more fine arts coming out of the Tattoo Scene currently, and he included spends much of his time completing one of a kind murals, portraits and reli-gious replicas working with studios like Victor Rene Bidez out of Fayetteville, GA. He is a self taught artists that was inspired by both his Grandfather and father, who both of which raced

mostly Flat Track back in the 60ʼs. He often remembers family gatherings holding over 300 bikes at any reunion. Now, enjoying his drive into to Camp-bells Customs in his 65 Chevy Malibu, Jeremiah takes the concept of both the artist and a tattooist to create an idea to best represent what a person wants inked and collected on their body. “Its a very positive environment and a steady influx of enthu-siasts that come through the shop”, says Jeremiah. A perfect match for a tattoo artist who also enjoys metal sculpture, pin striping and digital art. “Some side projects are working with the game Ascension as a character concept artist and for DC Comics as a book writer”. Come down and take a seat as you may be one more masterpiece of an artist whose passion runs deeper than the surface of the skin...

cream cheese...OH MY!!! You can always head down to any downtown Kroger

and purchase Deliaʼs secret recipe breakfast sausage under the label, Southerlin

Farms, made from Springer Mountain Chicken, another small Georgia Farm,

specializing in hormone free poultry. Delia and her crepride themselves on fresh

product, exceptional service no matter what time of day or night you decide tos-

“At the Stand, webelieve in local. Our chicken sausage is made in small batches,
