STAFF REVIEW: FROM ABOVE ISSUE #4CRAIG BRUYN $7.00Local comic creator Craig Bruyn’s From Above just keeps getting big-ger & better with each new install-ment. Issue #4, fittingly subtitled Shards, splits itself into a number of shorter street level stories, fleshing out the not-so-ordinary

lives of citizens in the futuristic dystopia Melbourne City. The clever changes to crime, food, family life & fashions are all highlighted in these vignettes, which are tied together by a high-octane battle Gabe has with the creepy mercenary Snare. Bruyn’s art contin-ues to mature as the series continues; the cluttered city skyline & the chaotic battle taking place across it is occasionally stunning.
