New Art Seeds is an educational outreach program dedicated to furthering performance art appreciation with the K-12 students of Eugene and Springfield, Oregon. The organiza-tion presents entertaining and original programs of regional storytelling expressed through instrumental music, dance and theater.
New Art Seeds believes that all students should have the opportunity to experience various forms of performance art both as an audience member and a participant. Additionally, the organization wants to engage students in their region’s history through local folklore storytell-ing.
Values of New Art Seeds:Engage-We attract students by letting them experience multiple performance art forms in one collaborative setting.Learn- Students discover and experience different outlets of creativity while cultivating a curiosity for understanding art.Enjoy- We capture the attention of a young audience by providing age-appropriate entertainment.Participate- We encourage students to share their ideas and become involved in the performing arts by providing workshops that allow students to partake in various exercises.

New Art Seeds uses three typefaces: Book Antiqua, Skia Regular, and Lucida Hand-writing Italic.
Book Antiqua is used in the logo for the word art. The font is also used for the contactinformation and the address on any business collateral, including the business card, envelope, letterhead, and magnet. Any aditional supporting text for professional correspondence will also be in Book Antiqua typeface, 12 point font.
Skia Regular is used in the logo for the words New and Seeds. It is also used for both the name and position title on the business card.

Lucida Handwriting Italic is used only on the magnet for the words Growing Creativity with. It is in size 13 point font.
ColorThe New Art Seeds logo uses two or three colors, depending on how the logo is displayed. They are Yellow Orange for the background block, Black for the text, and Red Orange for the poppy petals.

The New Art Seeds logo consists of two differnet fonts and an image.
The name of the organization, New Art Seeds, is comprised of two different fonts. The words New and Seeds are font Skia Regular. The word Art is in Book Antiqua. The font size in the logo may be changed, depending on the context, but the two different fonts should always be equal size.
The image is a poppy, using two layers to form the petals. The bottom layer is the outline of the poppy petals at a 1 pt. stroke in black. The top layer is the similar poppy petal outline, but in orange and slightly skewed to show the bottom layer. It is also a 1 pt stroke. The image is placed on top of the “d” in the logo text.
The image and the text are to never be used independently of one when the logo is displayed. The established colors are to be used unless black and white printing is required.
There are two variations of the logo: one with a color screen and one without. If the logo with the background block should be converted to gray scale the color screen opacity must be changed to 60%. Otherwise all aspects of the logo are 100% opacity.

The New Art Seeds standard business card measures 2” x 3 1/2” and can be viewed below. The business card is printed on 100 lb card stock.
The business card uses the New Arts Seeds logo with the color screen measuring 2” by 1 1/2”. It is placed in the upper 1 1/2” of the card, and the logo text is centered with 1/16” from the left and right sides. There is a space of 1/8” between the logo text and bottom of the colored background.

The contact info uses Book Antiqua size 7.5 font. It is left justified, 3/4” from the bottom of the business card. The address uses the same font and size. It is right justified, 3/4” from the bottom of the business card, and appears in four lines for the business card only.
The name on the card is in Skia Regular at 22.5 point font. It is 1 1/2” from the top of the card and centered. The title is also in Skia Regular size 14 point font. It appears in the center of the card from both top and bottom, left and right.

The Letterhead is to be presented on standard paper, 8 1/2 “ by 11”. There is a color screen in New Art Seeds Yellow Orange measuring 3/4” that runs along the very top of the page. The logo is positioned on the upper, right side of the page, exactly 1/4” from the right edge, and 1/4“ from the top edge of the page. The flower petals should align with the last letter of the logo. It should also be 1/4” from the right side.
The New Art Seeds address and contact information for the organization is directly below the logo, and is 1/4” from the right side of the page. The font for the address and contact information should be Book Antiqua, size 12.

New Art Seeds uses a standard #10 business envelope measuring 4.125” by 9.5”. There is a 1” color screen in New Art Seeds Yellow Orange going length wise across the top of the envelope. The New Art Seeds address is placed in the upper left corner of the envelope in Book Anti-qua size 12 font. The New Art Seeds logo is placed directly under the color screen in the left corner. The top .5” of the logo should overlap the bottom .5” of the color screen. The mailing address should be the center of the envelope in Book Antiqua size 12 font.

The New Art Seeds magnet is the same size as the business card, measuring 2” by 3.5”. The logo used for the magnet includes the color screen. The New Art Seeds logo is placed 1/8” from the right edge and 1/2” from the bottom. The New Art Seeds address and contact information is 1/8“ under the logo and is 1/8” from the bottom in Book Antiqua size 9 font. The words Growing Creativity with is written in Lucida Handwriting Italic size 10 font. It is placed 1/8” from the left edge and 1/2” from the top.
