◊ Approximately 600-800g per day for an adult giant anteater; however, there are large variations depending on weight and activity
◊ The feed should be stirred in water to make it a thick porridge, or to desired consistency, (mixing proposal: Feed (g) : Water (ml) in the ratio 1:2 to 1:3 depending on your preference), with more water, a slight excess of water can accumulate on the surface. To reduce this, the porridge can blended with a mixer.
◊ By allowing to stand, the porridge thickens after time.
◊ Feeding daily in two to three portions is recommended.
◊ To introduce the feed increase the amount of new feed progressively over a period of about two weeks.
