The granite used in Schock sinks is combined with high-grade acrylic to produce a hardened compositematerial that is resistant to cracks and dirt and also responsible for the long life of the sinks.

Materials produced by Schock have been specifically developed to meet the requirements in modern kitchensand can resist scratches and abrasions due to their extreme natural hardness.

CRISTALITE® - this classic is known around the world as Schock’s out-standing standard material. It is easy toclean, safe for use with food and finished with Schock Antibac. This special hygienic protection uses naturalsilver ions to reduce bacterial growth by up to 95% and make working in the kitchen cleaner and safer.

CRISTADUR® was launched by Schock in 2005. This premium material offers all the advantages of CRISTALITE®. Ithas an extremely fine nano-structure for easy care and an unprecedented Nanoclean Effect. It is virtuallyimpossible for bacteria and dirt to stick to the material’s surface. An added benefit of CRISTADUR® is its silkysmooth finish giving the material an exquisite sheen and a soft feel with maximum resistance to dirt andscratches.

To maintain the sink’s good looks regularly clean your sink using washing up liquid and hot water. For morestubborn marks, it is recommended to use a cream cleaner with a ‘Scotchbrite’ pad - this will not damage thesink’s surface. Remove mineral deposits and scaling by soaking in a solution of 3 parts hot water and 1 partwhite vinegar. Aluminium marks left by saucepans can be removed using ‘Shiny Sink’ or ‘Astonish’ Paste. Diluted bleach can be used on your sink, avoid soaking for long periods as this can damage the metal waste.Always finish off by rinsing your sink with clean water to remove any residue, and then dry it with a soft clothto prevent limescale build-up.

All models have specially designed black glass chopping boards that slide acrossthe sink their primary purpose is to act as food preparation boards but are also designedto close-off the sink when not in use. SMCSMC is a new compound speciallydeveloped for sink production. It is made from a mixture of Polyester,minerals and glass fibres creating ahighly flexible material that can bemoulded in to crisp detailed shapes

The manufacturing process includesthe application of a protectivecoating (PIMC) which provides thesink with a high resistance to damage

Scratch resistant - Although these sinksare not scratch proof, they are highlyresistant to scrapes from cutlery etc.

Impact resistant - SMC is very resilientand will withstand the usual knocks andbangs from pots and pans.

Heat resistant - SMC will withstandtemperatures up to 140°C. It is notrecommended however to put potsdirectly from the stove on to the sinksurface.
