MANPOWER - Granite typically self-performs approximately 60% - 70% of the construction services in our contracts. With over 1,600 salaried employees and 5,000 skilled hourly construction workers nationwide, our firm offers the capability to manage projects in any state.

EQUIPMENT FLEET – Granite has one of the largest self-owned equipment fleets in the nation. With approximately 10,000 units (including portable aggregate plants) and a total replacement value of $725 million, we rank #4 in Construction Equipment Magazine’s list of “Top Construction Giants.” Our offices maintain a complete fleet of local equipment, including paving equipment, loaders, scrapers, rollers, and portable plants. Granite owns enough paving equipment to mobilize dozens of paving crews simultaneously anywhere throughout the U.S., Alaska, Hawaii and Guam.

MATERIALS - Granite is one of the country’s largest producers of sand, gravel, ready-mix and asphalt concrete, and other construction materials. We own and operate 47 aggregate facilities, 69 hot mix plants, and 25 ready-mix concrete plants across the western United States, many of them are portable units that can be mobilized to remote project sites throughout the country.

PAVEMENT ENGINEERING AND MIX DESIGNS - We offer a in-house service for pavement design and engineering. Our engineering group works in conjunction with the project team and the owner to produce best-value designs that consider climate, use, traffic, material availability, environmental sensitivity, cost and life expectancy.
