The Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Masonic Home of Florida met in regular session on Sunday, May 28, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at the Rosen Plaza Hotel in Orlando, Florida, with the following members present: PRESENT: RW J. Steven Teal, Chairman RW Ronald E. Peebles, Vice Chairman RW Michael S. Binder RH Michael L. Elliott RW Brian R. Poole RW R. James Rocha RW D. Mark Small RW F. Joseph Smedley ABSENT: W Ira S. Alderman (Excused) W Jay B. Kosner (Excused) ALSO PRESENT: MW Stanley L. Hudson, Grand Master; RW Richard G. Hoover, Deputy Grand Master; RW John E. Karroum, Senior Grand Warden; RW John W. Westerman, III, Junior Grand Warden; RW Jackie D. Arrington, Grand Treasurer; MW Richard E. Lynn, P.G.M., Grand Secretary; MW James W. Ford, P.G.M.; and RW Douglas L. Ankeny. CALL TO ORDER: RW J. Steven Teal called the meeting to order at 1:00 p.m. The Chairman welcomed all assembled and asked them to join in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America. The Invocation was given by RW Brian R. Poole. INTRODUCTION OF BOARD OF TRUSTEES: RW J. Steven Teal, Chairman; RW Ronald E. Peebles, Vice Chairman; RW Michael S. Binder; RH Michael L. Elliott; W Jay B. Kosner; RW Brian R. Poole; RW R. James Rocha; RW D. Mark Small; and RW F. Joseph Smedley. A motion was made by RW D. Mark Small and seconded by RW Michael Binder that the minutes of the April 23, 2017, Board of Trustees Meeting be adopted as printed and distributed. Motion carried. ADMINISTRATOR’S BOARD REPORT: Lisa Tsotsos reported at our last regular Board Meeting we had 92 Residents in the Home. During the month of April we had 6 admissions, 2 losses, and 0 discharges bringing the total to 96. May 31, 2017 The Organizational Meeting of the Board of Trustees was called to order at 1:50 p.m. on May 31, 2017, at the Rosen Plaza Hotel in Orlando, Florida, by RW J. Steven Teal, Chairman, with the following members present: RW J. Steven Teal, Chairman RW Ronald E. Peebles, Vice Chairman RW Michael L. Elliott RW Brian R. Poole RW R. James Rocha RW D. Mark Small RW F. Joseph Smedley RW B. Allen West RW Lawrence A. Williamson ABSENT: RW Michael S. Binder (Excused) ALSO PRESENT: MW Richard G. Hoover, Grand Master RW John E. Karroum, Deputy Grand Master RW John W. Westerman, III, Senior Grand Warden RW Thomas L. Turlington, Jr., Junior Grand Warden RW Rudin J. Boatright, Grand Treasurer MW Richard E. Lynn, P.G.M., Grand Secretary MW Stanley L. Hudson, Past Grand Master RW Glen B. Bishop, W Grand Marshal The Chairman asked those present to join in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America. The invocation was given by RW Brian R. Poole. A motion was made by RW Ronald E. Peebles, seconded by RW B. Allen West, that Mrs. Lisa Tsotsos be hired as the Administrator of the Masonic Home until the next regularly scheduled Board Meeting in June. Motion carried. A motion was made by RW R. James Rocha, seconded by RW Ronald E. Peebles, that RW D. Mark Small be appointed Executive Secretary to the Board of Trustees. Motion carried. A motion was made by RW Michael L. Elliott, seconded by RW Ronald E. Peebles, to set the daily residency fees at $120.00 for the ACLF, and $200.00 for SNF. Motion carried. A motion by RW R. James Rocha, seconded by RW Michael L. Elliott, was made to set the Petty Cash Fund at $5,000.00. Motion carried. The time of the Pre-Board Meetings will be 9:00 a.m. on Saturday and the Board Meetings will be 11:00 a.m. on the Sunday following the third Saturday of each month unless rescheduled by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees. The February Board Meeting will be held on February 11, 2018. A motion was made by RW J. James Rocha, seconded by RW Lawrence A. Williamson, for the Grand Secretary or the Grand Treasurer to sign payroll checks in the absence of the Administrator. Motion carried.

A motion was made by RW Lawrence A. Williamson, seconded by RW R. James Rocha, to have the Audit of the Masonic Home in accord with the Digest of the Masonic Law of Florida. Motion carried. A motion was made by RW Brian R. Poole, seconded by RW Michael L. Elliott, that all property be handled in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the Corporate Board. Motion carried. A motion was made by RW B. Allen West, seconded by RW Ronald E. Peebles, to have contracts drawn for sale or disposal of property, approved by the Properties Committee, reviewed by a proper attorney, and signed by the Grand Master. Motion carried. A motion was made by RW B. Allen West, seconded by RW Michael L. Elliott, that the revision of printed documents submitted to the Board by the staff of the Masonic Home for the June meeting be considered for permanent acceptance at all future meetings. Motion carried. A motion was made by RW Ronald E. Peebles, seconded by RW D. Mark Small, to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried. The next Pre-Board Meeting will be Saturday, June 17, 2017, at 9:00 a.m. The Board Meeting will be Sunday, June 18, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. The Benediction was given by RW Brian R. Poole.
