GRANBY YOUTH FOOTBALL, INC. COACHES’ APPLICATION

PACKAGE

GRANBY YOUTH FOOTBALL, INC.

Dear Prospective Coaches,

Thank you for your interest in coaching for Granby Youth Football, Inc.! The goal of our

organization is to enrich the lives of young people by providing a safe and affordable

football and cheer program, where participants will have fun and develop the values of

leadership, sportsmanship, and teamwork. We encourage and award scholastic

achievement, competition, and playing well equally.

Most will find this to be a very rewarding and fun experience. Our focus and priorities

are player safety and character development. Yes, we want to WIN, but not at the

expense of our integrity. We play well to maintain a reasonable level of competiveness

so that we get kids to come back season after season.

What we do need is adult volunteer coaches that are honest, open-minded to the game

of football, reliable, good managers, people that know how to motivate children and

have an interest in the development of young people in their care.

You do not have to be perfect to be a part of Granby Youth Football. However, we do

have very high standards. You do not need to know the game of football extensively, we

will train you! Coaches that complete our training do very well and have applied this

training to other coaching interests.

We have a variety of coaches with different skills and abilities. We want and need all of

the help you can provide. You are welcome to bring your own style and experience and

you do not have to agree with all of our plans and schemes, however our mission

statement and coaching philosophy dictates everything we can do together. If you can

agree to the coaching contract provided in this application, you can coach for us. If not,

it is best not to apply.

We look forward to you being a part of our coaching family! Thank you for considering

us and this rewarding program.

Sincerely,

Thomas J. Anderson

GYF President
