3. Commas As A Reader

All punctuation is important to what we read, especially commas. Commas help a readers fluency, they tell a reader when to pause, and helps avoid confusion.As you could see with the poem on the previous slide.
4. A Few Comma Rules
Use commas to separate the items in a series, or list.
Use a comma after a transitional phrase, or introduction.
Use a comma to separate two adjectives.
Use commas to separate an expressions that interrupt sentence flow.
Use a comma to separate a statement from a question.
5. Be Careful
Some say that you should use a comma when you feel like there should be a pause in your writing. Be careful with this approach. There is such a thing as over using commas. If your unsure about comma placement there are resources that you can utilize.
