Graduation or Return/Graduation Rates by Major Fall 2010 Majors to Fall 2011 Nathan Dickmeyer Institutional Research & Assessment April 3, 2012 The following charts and tables show graduation rates (for 45 or more earned credits) or retention/graduation rates by major by beginning credit levels. Students having earned certain levels of credits were compared by major. All students counted in the charts and tables were enrolled in Fall 2010. To be counted in the return/ graduation rate a student had to either be enrolled in Fall 2011 or to have graduated at the end of Fall 2010 or Spring 2011. By Credit Category 1) Students with 45 or more credits earned at the start of Fall 2010—graduation rate. The average graduation rate during Fall 2010 or Spring 2011 for all students enrolled with 45 or more credits in Fall 2010 was 55%. The highest two semester graduation rate for students with 45 or more credits was Administrative Assistant with 73%. The lowest was Computer Science with 27%, among majors with at least ten students. (See Figure 1 and Table 1.) 2) Students with 30 to 44 credits earned at the start of Fall 2010—return/graduation rate. The average return/graduation rate for all students enrolled with 30 to 44 credits earned in Fall 2010 was 67%. The highest return/graduation rate for this group was 92% in Programming and Systems. The lowest return/graduation rate for this group was 50% for EMT/Paramedic, among majors with at least ten students. (See Figure 2 and Table 2.) 3) Students with 15 to 29 credits earned at the start of Fall 2010—return/graduation rate. The average return/graduation rate for all students enrolled with 15 to 29 credits earned in Fall 2010 was 64%. The highest return/graduation rate for this group was 82% in School Food Service Management. The lowest return/graduation rate for this group was 29% for Mortuary Science, among majors with at least ten students. (See Figure 3 and Table 3.) 4) Students with 0 to 14 credits earned at the start of Fall 2010—return/graduation rate. The average return/graduation rate for all students enrolled with 0 to 14 credits earned in Fall 2010 was 60%. The highest return/graduation rate for this group was 80% in Dietetic Technician. The lowest return/graduation rate for this group was 14% for Mortuary Science, among majors with at least ten students. (See Figure 4 and Table 4.) The following charts and tables show graduation rates (for 45 or more earned credits) or retention/graduation rates by major by beginning credit levels. Students having earned certain levels of credits were compared by major. All students counted in the charts and tables were enrolled in Fall 2010. To be counted in the return/ graduation rate a student had to either be enrolled in Fall 2011 or to have graduated at the end of Fall 2010 or Spring 2011.

By Credit Category 1) Students with 45 or more credits earned at the start of Fall 2010—graduation rate.

The average graduation rate during Fall 2010 or Spring 2011 for all students enrolled with 45 or more credits in Fall 2010 was 55%. The highest two semester graduation rate for students with 45 or more credits was Administrative Assistant with 73%. The lowest was Computer Science with 27%, among majors with at least ten students. (See Figure 1 and Table 1.)

2) Students with 30 to 44 credits earned at the start of Fall 2010—return/graduation rate. The average return/graduation rate for all students enrolled with 30 to 44 credits earned in Fall 2010 was 67%. The highest return/graduation rate for this group was 92% in Programming and Systems. The lowest return/graduation rate for this group was 50% for EMT/Paramedic, among majors with at least ten students. (See Figure 2 and Table 2.)

3) Students with 15 to 29 credits earned at the start of Fall 2010—return/graduation rate. The average return/graduation rate for all students enrolled with 15 to 29 credits earned in Fall 2010 was 64%. The highest return/graduation rate for this group was 82% in School Food Service Management. The lowest return/graduation rate for this group was 29% for Mortuary Science, among majors with at least ten students. (See Figure 3 and Table 3.)
