Graduation Portfolio PowerPoint Rubric

Create a 14-slide presentation summarizing your Grad Portfolio, including a themed background and two

images minimum per slide, following the guideline below.

Slide Number Requirement Pass Redo Slide 1 Cover Page ● Include your name and the two careers researched

Slide 2 What are your strengths/skills?

● Summary of your greatest strengths (from Skills Assessment)

● Commentary about your strengths and how they have helped you

Slide 3 What are your areas of growth?

● From analyzing your Naviance/ASVAB results (or from self-

reflection), what would you consider an area of growth?

- List two ways you could improve in this area

Slide 4 Description of your first career choice.

● A brief description of your profession as a whole

Slide 5 Expand on your first career choice and why you chose it.

● Your specific interest within the profession

● Salary, expected schedule, job outlook, etc.

Slide 6 Description of your second career choice.

● A brief description of your profession as a whole

Slides 7 Expand on your second career choice and why you chose it.

● Your specific interest within the profession

● Salary, expected schedule, job outlook, etc.

Slide 8 Overview of your plan of action: Educational Path

● Your graduation date

● Describe which specific path you will take after graduation:

Community College, trade school, internship, certificate program,

4-year college, etc.

Slide 9 Overview of your plan of action: Career Path

● Entry level job

● How to transition from an entry level position to your ultimate

career choice.

Slide 10 Personal goals in life

● Where you want to live

● Explain the connection between an entry level position and your

ultimate career choice.

● Dreams and goals you have in life other than your career

Slide 11 Interview question summary

● Using your responses to the interview questions, construct a

paragraph (4-7 sentences) describing the type of employee you will

be, such as a leader, team player, communicative, problem solver,

etc.

Slide 12 Student preference

● Portrays information about (choose one); your career choice, you

as a person, or anything else related to the grad portfolio

● Portrays information about (choose another); your career choice,

Slide 14 Questions and answers

● Create a slide that asks your audience, “Do you have any other

questions?”

● Sufficiently answers the questions when asked, shows an

understanding of the grad portfolio

Format MLA ● Fewer than 25 words per slide

● Bullet form only (except for slide #10)

● Must use the same font throughout the presentation (May vary size,

bold, italics, etc.)

● Must use the same design background throughout the presentation

● Graphics, pictures, and text must not overlap

Presentation ● Body language, eye contact, and posture

● Inflection, volume, enunciation, and pacing

● Does not simply read the presentation slides, but expands on the

bullet points and thoroughly presents the material
