The Office of Career Services is pleased to share the results of the Follow-Up Study of the Graduating Class of 2003.

The study comprises college transfer and job placement information for the 2003 graduates (August 2002, December 2002, and May 2003), completing the requirements for Associate Degrees and Certificate Programs. Sincere thanks is extended to the staff in the Center for Advisement and Personal Development for their help in conducting this survey, with special recognition going to Cathy Petruccione. INTRODUCTION Finger Lakes Community College awarded 837 degrees and certificates to the graduating class of 2003: 422 (50%) in Transfer Programs 383 (46%) in Career Programs 32 (4%) in Certificate Programs The information in this study is based upon the responses of 32% of this class. TRANSFER PROGRAMS

(A.A. & A.S. PROGRAMS) The Associate in Arts Program (A.A.) is primarily designed to transfer to four-year colleges. The Associate in Arts Degree is also utilized for job advancement. The Associate in Science programs (A.S.) are primarily designed to transfer to four-year degree programs. However, employment is available to students upon completion of a two-year degree. Finger Lakes Community College offers 9 certificate programs, which are designed to supplement an individual’s education in specific areas and to update skills for those re-entering the work force.
