Grade 12 Option Presentation2017

OCAS and OUAC Transmission Dates:

• November Transmission: Marks for college, demographic data for universities

• February Transmission: Interim marks for both college and university

• April Transmission: Interim marks for both college and university. Students may drop a non-semestered course by the Full Disclosure Deadline (May 4th 2017).

• July Transmission: Final Marks and proof of graduation

Offers of Admission

• Offers of admission will be granted on an ongoing basis until May.

• Most students will receive an offer of admission after the April transmission.

• Offers must be accepted by May 1st, 2017 for Ontario colleges. Each college will determine the due date to confirm offers made after May 1st, 2017.

• Offers must be accepted by June 1st, 2017 for Ontario universities. The latest date of an offer by any university will be May 26th, 2017.

Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP)

• Students may apply for OSAP once offer from college or university has been accepted.

• Contact OSAP Officer at the school you will be attending.

• Mowat will be hosting an OSAP presentation in the spring. Date TBA.

Need to upgrade marks? Missing prerequisites? We are semestered next year! If you want to return to Mowat, you will be required to meet with your Vice Principal. Consider a new environment at one of our wonderful alternate schools.

CO-OP PROGRAM AT MOWAT

1. There is no application process– simply choose COOP as an option in myBlueprint.ca/tdsb

2. COOP4 – 4 credit 3. COOP2 – 2 credit 4. For more information:

a) see Mrs. Graves or Mr. Dias in the library MEZZ b) see a guidance counsellor

5. In March and April the COOP teachers will meet with you to discuss your placement and options moving forward

• Are you graduating in June, taking a gap year and/or looking for full-time employment?

• TDSB is hosting JOB FAIR in May to help you with your job search. There will be approx. 40 employers representing a wide variety of fields and job opportunities. Please come to guidance to sign up.

Signed copies of myBlueprint course selection sheets due to Guidance by Wednesday, March 1st, 2017.

Not returning?•You must register online with MyBlueprint.ca/tdsb and indicate that you are not returning. •Tell us where you are going after Mowat: COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY, APPRENTICESHIP, WORK, NEW SCHOOL or OTHER.
