an introduction.
Presentation: (10 minutes)
Small group activity: puzzle
The teacher prepares worksheets for the learners
consisting of 2-4 (depending on the number of
learners in each group) different pictures of the
human body. Learners can then colour the pictures.
Each learner receives a worksheet and cut it into 4-8
parts. All the parts are mixed into one pile. Each
learner picks up one 'part' from the pile of pieces.
They then have to 'build' the human figure with the
corresponding parts from the pile of pieces. When
completed, the figure can be pasted into a
workbook/on a worksheet to take home.
Conclusion: (10 minutes)
Put the body parts of old dolls in a pillow (learners can
bring this from home during the week). Learners sit
on the carpet (whole group) and the teacher calls out
a learner. The learner puts his/her hand into the
piillow and guesses what he/she feels (leg/ arm/head
etc.). He/she says the English word out loud.
