Welcome

Welcome beautiful ladies!

We are so honored to have you at Legacy’s 20th anniversary of the Grace Project Conference. It is so exciting to see new and familiar faces at our 3-day conference.

Many people have worked extremely hard to make this conference a memorable and inspiring experience for every one of you ladies - because you deserve it! We hope that

this conference helps remind you that you are never alone and how important it is to S.E.E. and BELIEVE in yourself. The Grace Project Conference has brought many HIV+

women from different backgrounds to one place to show that we are in this journey together.

Remember, this weekend is about YOU, and we are going to be living our best lives!

This weekend is the time connect and reconnect with friends, learn from our speakers, and learn from each other. We all have our own different stories and journeys of living

with HIV. When we listen to other’s stories, we can feel inspired to believe in ourselves and grow in our own journey.

Thank you so much for coming out to enjoy this exciting weekend with us. We hope that you have a wonderful time at the conference, and we look forward to having you at

future conferences to come. Have a wonderful weekend, ladies!

Helen Turner Helen began her adult life as a dedicated career oriented banker, feeling safe and secure as a hard working Assistant Vice President at Bank of America in San Francisco. With God’s grace and mercy Helen successfully survived multiple struggles since her AIDS diagnosis on Mar 13, 1984... struggles with fear, and with stigma...stigma that comes from intergenerational trauma, Black Family Cultural, Institutional and Structural Norms, as well as Self stigma. SHE WAS VERY THANKFUL THAT HER FAITH KICKED IN! And she was able

to successfully battle her denial, shock, shame, and so much anger, including a somewhat dismal descent into depression & agoraphobia. AND TO GOD BE THE GLORY! .. BECAUSE ULTIMATELY -- SHE WANTED TO LIVE! So she got into treatment and became proactive in managing her health. For more than 20 years Helen feels Called to do all she can to help eradicate AIDS via evangelism, education, support, advocacy, even activism. She has done extensive volunteer work with multiple local and national AIDS & Community Service Organizations, including Legacy Counseling Center, Ryan White Planning Counsel, Texas HIV Syndicate, etc. Helen is Peer Navigator & Community Advocate, and she holds leadership positions in the Texas HIV Syndicate, playing a significant role in development and implementation of Achieving Together: A Community Plan to End HIV as an Epidemic in Texas. She encourages everyone to lend their voice in whatever manner they are gifted (including at election polls). BE THE CHANGE as we END HIV AS AN EPIDEMIC IN TEXAS.

Quỳnh Châu Stone is a mother, educator, entrepreneur and advocate. With Quỳnh Châu’s direction and leadership, The Source of Hope collects, distributes and donates food and groceries to those in need through a network of charitable organizations. The Source of Hope delivers over 1000 meals monthly to the homeless and actively works with partner organizations to serve the most vulnerable in the Dallas – Ft. Worth communities.
