Thank You Search Team!

Over the past six months the Search

Team has been actively involved in

the discernment process to determine

who God was calling to be Rector of

Grace Church. During this time they

have spent untold hours reviewing in-

formation, speaking with candidates

and traveling to observe individuals

in their home environs. They have

selflessly given of their time and their

resources – all because they realized

the significance of their responsibility

and how important this decision

would be in the life of our church. I

know you join me in thanking each of

them for the wonderful job they have

done!

As the Search process continues please do not stop your prayers! Our parish is at a

really good place and we are ready to move forward and to embrace all the wonderful

opportunities that wait. Soon we expect to have a Rector who will “love your people

and prepare us for our ministries through Jesus Christ our Lord”. Thank you Search

Team! Every member of this parish appreciates what you have done and we applaud

you for your love and commitment to Grace Church and to each of us.

Peace and Love,

Karen

A message from Christian Community Ministries

CCM is an extension of the servant ministry of the cooperating Christian congrega-

tions in Kershaw County. Support us in our

mission with prayer: “Truly, I say to you, as

you did it to one of the least of these my

breathen, you did it to me.” Matthew 2:40

Food Needs: Canned Fruit, Canned Pasta, Canned Beef

Stew & Chili, Canned Potatoes, Rice, Dry Beans, Dry

Milk.

Volunteers: The Pantry needs volunteers. If you or anyone you

know is interested in volunteering [i.e. students in need of ser-

vice hours or service organizations that would like to help update the pantry] please contact Kathleen

at [email protected] or 803-713-7977.

Editor’s note: Each week when you are grocery shopping it would be so quick and inexpensive to

drop a few canned veggies, dried rice, dried beans, dried breakfast items, peanut butter or jelly into

your cart to bring to church on Sunday for our food wagons. Just add one item a trip. Make this an easy

and productive habit!!

The deadline for Easter Lily Memorials is April 7. Each lily will be $16.00.

In the spaces below please print the names of those you wish to

acknowledge. Return forms & checks to office or place in the alms basins.

Spring has sprung and we’re keeping our fingers crossed the

cold days are behind us! Our playground is full of busy little ones who are truly ready to stretch their muscles in the

sunshine! As we finish out the last two months of school, we are all looking forward to start-

ing on our “Outside Classroom” soon. The children and teach-ers love expanding the indoors out and are thrilled for all the

new learning opportunities that await them outside!

Enrollment for next fall is well

underway but there is still time to register your child if inter-ested. Please be sure and con-tact Mrs. Melissa Clyburn if

you have any questions and keep in mind our last few avail-able spots are filling up fast.

The children ABSOLUTELY love books and love even more when a “special friend” comes to read to them. If you are ev-

er interested in reading to the children, please let us know. You are welcome any time and the children would love to have you! : )
