MathObjective: - To find the ratio of circumference of circle to its diameter. Pre- requisite: - Concept of circle, circumference, ratio and diameter. Material required: - ruler, thick paper like drawing sheet, three bangles of different sizes, and pair of scissors and sketch pens. Procedure:- 1. Draw three circles of different sizes and mark them as circle 1, 2 and 3. 2. Cut out all three circles with the help of scissors. 3. Mark the diameters of circles by folding it into two equal halves. Name these diameters as AB, CD and EF. 4. Draw a ray on a paper and mark G as initial point. 5. Hold one of the circles say 3 in upright position such that point E on the circle coincides with point G on the ray. 6. Rotate the circle on the ray and keep on rotating until the point E touches the ray again. Mark that point on line as H. 7. Measure the distance GH with the help of ruler. 8. Measure the distance EF with the help of ruler. 9. Record these measurements on a paper. 10. Repeat the above steps for circles 1 and 2.
