Notice Personal Counseling Process of NEET PG/MDS 2017 for Non Resident Indian (NRI) Candidates

(For admissions Under NRI quota seats at Medical and Dental Private unaided Institutions/ Deemed Universities)

This office has invited applications for postgraduate seats from NRI candidates. During this process some of the postgraduate seats were reserved for NRI candidates and were shown on website. For these seats some NRI Candidates have applied.

In the Hon'ble Supreme Court order in Writ petition (civil)244/2017 dated 4.5.2017, this office was instructed to include the applicants who have submitted the applications directly to Deemed Universities. As per this direction of the Hon'ble Supreme Court, the names of these candidates (those who have claimed as NRI in the application form) have been added in the revised Provisional merit list. The NRI candidates should note following important rules

1. As per NEET PG/MDS 2017 brochure Rules No. 8.1 given on page No.4, NRI candidates are not eligible for the admission,for Non-NRI seats.

2. However candidate who has claimed as NRI in the application form and is unable to comply NRI criteria as per Annexure-A will be considered at his/ her All India Rank if otherwise eligible.

As NRI candidates are eligible for only NRI seats, special personal counseling round will be conducted for them as per following schedule.

After this NRI personal counseling round all the remaining vacant seats from NRI quota will be made available to rest all candidates. These reverted seat will be filled during personal counseling round to be started from 22thMay,2017 afternoon. All NRI candidates should not

attend personal counseling round during 22th May,2017 to 27th May,2017. Instead they should attend as per above schedule.

Instructions for NRI Candidates and Concerned Institutions 1. Proxy will not be permitted. 2. Candidates should bring all the original documents for verification as per the rule No.

11.3 of NEET PG 2017/ NEET MDS 2017 Information brochure and as per criteria laid down in Admission Regulating Authority's letter No.ARA/NRI/Adm./2525 Dated 18th April, 2016 in Annexure-A. (Annexure-A is enclosed with this Notice)

3. Candidates should note that they have to confirm the admission immediately after allotment of a seat by paying Rs.1500/- in cash as admission fee and deposit all the original documents at the time of personal counseling, along with paying one year tuition and other fees by cheque. The submission of original document & payment of fees will be at the respective counter of the Institution at the site of counseling.

4. The amount of tuition fee of respective college and subject is available on the website. A candidate not paying the one year tuition fee and other fee by cheque on the spot will not be considered for admission.

5. All the candidates should note that they will not be called for counseling as per their state merit list number (SML),but will be called as per their All India Rank number on the same day at the venue of the counseling.

6. Inclusion of the name in the revised provisional merit list does not mean that the candidate is necessarily eligible for this round. Eligibility will also be verified during the round by original document verification.

7. No extra time will be given for paying tuition fee, other fee and for deposition of original document. Candidate asking for extra time will be held ineligible for opting a seat.

8. All the candidates opting a seat during this round have no option of resigning or non joining . If they do so then penalty mentioned in the brochure will be applicable.
