Under the powers vested in me by section 87 cf the Mzrketing Act, 1968 (No. 59 of 1°68), I herebj prohibit the exportation from the Repi~blic of soya beans, except under the authority of a pelmit issued by the Secretary, or otherwise thzn in accordance \vith the condition specified in such a permit.

Ek, Marais Viljoen, Minister van Arbeid, verklaar hierby-

(a) kragtens artikel 48 (1) (a) van die Wet op Nywerheidsversoen;ng, 1956, dat die bepalings van die Ooreenkoms (hierna die Wysigingsooreellkoms genoem), wat in dic Bylae hiervan verskyn en op die Beskuit- nywerhcid betrekking het, met ingang van 1 April 1974 en vir die tydperk \vat op 31 Olctober 1974 eindig, bindend is vir die werl-rgewersorganisasie en die vakvereniging wat die Wysigingsooreenkoms aangegaan het en vir die werkgcwers en werknemers wat lede van genoemde organisasie of vereniging is;

(b) kragtens artikel 48 (1) (b) van genoemde Wet, dat die bepalings van die Wysigingsooreenkoms, met ingang van 1 April 1974 en vjr die tydperk wat op 31 Oktober 1974 eindig. bindend is vir alle ander werkgewers en werknemers as die genoem in paragraaf (a) van hierdie kennisgewinp, wat betrokke is by of in diens is in genoemde Nywerheid in die Republiek van Suid-Afrika; en

I, Marais Viljoen, Minister of Labour, hereby-

(a) in terms of section 48 (1) (a) of the Industrial Conciliation Act, 1956, declare that the provisions of the Agreement (hereinafter referred to as the Amending Agreement), which appears in the Schedule hereto and which relates to the Biscuit Manufacturing Industry, shall be binding, with effect from 1 April 1974 and for the period ending 31 October 1974, upon the employers' organisation and the trade union which entered into the Amending Agreement and upon the employers and employees who are members of the said organisation or union;

(b) in terms of section 48 (1) (b) of the said Act, declare that the provisions of the Amending Agreement shall be binding, with effect from 1 April 1974 and for the period ending 31 October 1974, upon all employers and employees other than those referred to in paragraph (a) of this notice. who are engaged or employed in the said lndustry in the Republic of South Africa; and

(C) in terms of section 48 (3) (a) of the said Act, declare that in the Republic of South Africa and with effect from 1 April 1974 and for the period ending 31 October 1974, the provisions of the Amending Agree- ment, shall mlitatis nartandis be binding upon all Bantu employed in the said lndustry by the employers upon whom any of the said provisions are binding in rcspect of employees and upon those employers in respect of Bantu in their employ.

Die Minister van Gesondheid het kragtens artikel 94 (4) van die Wet op Geneeshere, Tandartse en Aptekers, 1928 (Wet 13 van 1928), soos gewysig, sy goedkeuring geheg aan onderstaande wysigings van die reds opgestel deur die Suid-Afrikaanse Geneeskundige en Tandheelkundige Raad kragtens artikel 94 (2) (1) van die Wet en afgekondig by Goewermentskennisgewing R. 1693 van 30 Oktober 1964, soos gewysig by Goewermentskennisgewings R. 141 van 29 Januarie 1965, R. 984 van 2 Julie 1965, R. 496 van 28 Maart 1969 en R. 1007 van 16 Junie 1972:

The Minister of Health has, in terms of section 94 (4) )f the Medical, Dental and Pharmacy Act, 1928 (Act 13 )f 1928). as amended, approved the following amend- nents to the rules made by the South African Medical ind Dental Council under section 94 (2) (1) of the Act ind published under Government Notice R. 1693 of 30 October 1964, as amended by Government Noticks R. 141 of 29 January 1965, R. 984 of 2 July 1965, R. 496 3f 28 March 1969 and R. 1007 of 16 June 1972:

(i) The addition to Rule 9 (Covering) of the following new rule:

Rule 9 (3): "(3) Employing unregistered supplementary health

services personnel or referring patients to such unregistered personnel where the services of registered supplementary health services personnel are available.";

(ii) the addition of the following new rule:

Rule 28: "28. Dentists employing unregistered persons to per-

form certairz specified acts.-For a dentist to employ any unregistered person to perform any of the following acts: Dental radiography, topical application of medicaments periodontal packing, dental prophylaxis, oral hygiene instruction, removal of orthodontic appliances.".

The Minister of Education has, under and by virtue of the powers vested in him by section 17 (5) of the Universi- ties Act, 1955 (Act 61 of 1955), approved the following amendment, framed by the Council after consultation with thc: Senate of the University of Pretoria, to the regulations published under Government Notice R. 1932 of 13 December 1963, as amended by Government Notices R. S02 of 4 June 1965, R. 725 of 19 May 1967, R. 2372 of 27 December 1968, R. 463 of 26 March 1971, R. 360 of 10 March 1972, R. 1826 of 13 October 1972 and R. 272 of 23 February 1973:

l . The following regulation is substituted for regulation 2:

"Admissiorz

2. No person shall be admitted to the following courses, unless he has obtained at least 50 per cent in mathematics at the examination for the Transvaal Secondary School Certificate passed in or after November 1961, the Natal Senior Certificate (Ordinary Grade) or the National Senior Certificate (T Group) 6r at least 40 per cent therein the matriculation examination or at any other examination recognised for the purpose by the Joint Matriculation Board:

3. (a) A full-time student who, after once repeating the first or second year of study; and

(b) an extra-mural student and a student attending late afternoon or evening classes who, after twice repeating the first or second year of study-

has not passed sufficient courses to qualify for admis- sion to the srlbsequent year of study, shall not be registered again as a student: Provided that readmission as a student on request and subject to such conditions as the University may determine may be granted after the expiry of one academic year.".
