You will also havethe possibility to take a boat ride to the island in the lake of Bled, visit the baroquechurch and toll the bell. Then continue to the other alpine beauty the BohinjLake. The route will take you to Stara Fuzina where you will visit the Sheppardsmuseum and taste the best Slovenian cheese. Free time in Bohinj until your returnto Bled. In the evening travel to Radovljica and take a walk through this pictur-esque town until dinner with typical Slovenian cuisine and the visit of the Lectar

Day 05, 8 APRIL 2011THE KARST REGION WITH TANJEL AND LIPICABreakfast in hotelIn the morning departure from Nova Gorica and travel to the charming medievaltown of tanjel. The region of Karst is know for its dark wine Teran and Karst coldcuts- among which the most famous is the Karst prosciutto. Tasting at one ofthe famous local wine producer. PIRAN MARJE POMJAN - PIRANBreakfast in hotelIn the morning visit the picturesque town of Piran, known as the birth place of thefamous composer and violinist Guiseppe Tarini. Then travel to Seovlje and visitthe salt pans where the salt has been harvested for more than 400 years. Visitan local wine cellar. We will end our day in the medieval town of Pomjan with ashort walk through the town and enjoy a typical dinner of Slovenian Istra. Returnto Piran for overnight. (B, WT, D)

After lunch in a localrestaurant visit the Maribor tunnel wine cellar which is one of the greatest winecellars in Europe and is located in the centre of the city. Day 10, 13 APRIL 2011THE PREKMURJE REGIONBreakfast in hotelAfter breakfast travel to Prekmurje, the north-eastern flat part of Slovenia. Enjoylunch in a typical restaurant. The tour of the region will include the visit of themiles on the Mura River, of a typical local pottery and some other ethnologicalattractions of Prekmurje. (B, L)
