of energy to keep it at the currentstate.entropy1.A measure of thedisorder orrandomness in aclosed system.2. The tendency for all

matter and energy inthe universe to evolve

toward a state of inertuniformity.3. Inevitable and steady deteriorationof a system or society.

Just like a house that must be

maintained if neglected willeventually suffer small, seemingly

insignificant fractures, eventually,they become compounded and the

entire structure if left unattendedwill be in need of major repairs, ifnot collapse...The increasing chaos

can only be stopped by an infusionof energy to overcome the decay.

Our relationships continually need tohave an infusion of power -

Relationships will decay, without it.ONLY the Fruit of the Spirit can fullysustain us!

Fruit Takes YEARS:It takes an average of 7 years for fruitplants to bear a good crop of fruit. Untilthen plants are subjected to pruning sothat the energy received by the sun andsoil are forced into the roots creating astrong plant. If the fruit were permitted tobe brought forth early, all energy

expended goes to making fruit and theplant is weak when drought comes.

Fruit and Good Works arenot the same thing!

Fruit and works are not the

same thing. Though we often

dont discern between the two.

We look at a person, a ministry or

a church body and see the activity,

works and business and presume

these things to be a margin or

standard to be able to state, That

is good. Dont misunderstand

me, we need good works, Faith

without works is dead, but

anyone can perform works. There

are plenty of very commendable

humanistic efforts. Commendable

ethics and moral works do not

make the Christian.

Works powered by man can be

presumed as fruit, just as gifts of

the Spirit can be perceived as

fruit. This couldnt be farther

from the truth. Remember,

1Corinthians 13:1-3.Paul clues us

into this when he said, Though I

speak with the tongues of men and

of angels, but have not love, I

have become sounding brass or a

clanging cymbal. And though I

have the gift of prophecy, and

understand all mysteries and all

knowledge, and though I have all

faith, so that I could remove

mountains, but have not love, I am

nothing. And though I bestow all

my goods to feed the poor, andthough I give my body to be

burned, but have not love, it

profits me nothing.

Upon simple examination of the

scriptures in I Corinthians chapter

thirteen we find that love is pre-

eminent. Love is the whole,

comprised of parts.
