Tuesday 4th June 2019 Dear Families, Welcome to Winter! This change in season has made itself very obvious for us, with the cold, rain and even snow, coming at us in full force! You may have noticed some drying fans around the school to address some roof leaks, with repairs coming soon. It is timely to remind all families that wearing long pants and warm jackets is encouraged, as we try to ensure children have time to play outside unless the rain is heavy. It is also important to keep our germs to ourselvestaking one day off school with a cold, or other illness can prevent it from spreading through the school, or taking longer to recover from. Please keep children home if they are unwell, as one day off is far better than many miserable days at school. This week is set to be a busy week, with lots of our teachers in and out across the week. All teachers have been planning consistently for classes, to ensure that learning is maintained at a high standard. If you are needing to contact a teacher on a day they are unavailable, please write a note or send an email so that nothing is missed. In exciting news, our Sign-In/Sign-Out Kiosk is ready to go and will be in use from this week! All families will be given a code to use with the Kiosk. Codes can be changed to a number you will remember and if you would like any help with this, please see Michelle in the office. Lastly, the children and I have been re-visiting some of our STEM learning challenges from earlier in the year. We are finding that challenges that were very difficult last term, have become far more manageable now. The only thing that has changed is the mindset of the children taking on the challenge! It is fantastic to see children taking risks, making mistakes, trying again, and working for their success. The children have been very proud of their improved efforts! Have a great week, and happy learning! Tamara Halket Principal Things to remember this week…….. Hot Chocolate this THURSDAY (at recess)—$1

HELP WANTED—LIBRARY

We are still getting our Library set up. If you have any time or know of anyone who may have time on a Monday or

Tuesday to assist Tricia in finishing setting up the Library we would love to hear from you. The tasks would be mainly sorting books into alphabetic order, putting

away books or covering books after they have been processed.

Please see either Tamara or Tricia if you can help.
