Overview: The Gorgon Project Is 55 Percent Complete
The causeway extends 1.3 miles (2.1 km) from the plant site, with foundation
structures for the liquefied natural gas (LNG) jetty rising from the water (bottom left
of image).

Plant Site
Construction of the LNG plant continues on the 408-acre (1.65-km-sq) site.

Construction of the two LNG tanks is progressing well.

The roof on the second LNG tank was raised into its final position in November.

Pre-Assembled Racks and Units
Seventy-five pre-assembled rack (PAR) and two pre-assembled unit (PAU) modules
have been delivered to Barrow Island. In total, 236 PARs and PAUs will be installed.
The installation and connection process is well under way.

Materials-Offloading Facility
The materials-offloading facility on Barrow Island consists of the recently completed
heavy lift facility, the roll-on roll-off berth, a module carrier berth and a tug pen.

Construction Village
Ten of the 12 accommodation clusters in the cyclone-rated construction village are
now occupied.

Installation of the Offshore Pipelines
In November, the main offshore pipe-lay activities were completed for the domestic
gas pipeline.
Two purpose-built rigs are now installing stabilization anchors, known as rock bolts,
along the pipeline.

Domestic Gas Pipeline Works
Stringing, welding and coating activities continue for the onshore section of the
domestic gas pipeline. Construction also has begun on the domestic gas metering
station, located near the tie-in to the Dampier-to-Bunbury natural gas pipeline.
