TilesAt Goose Rocks Tile Studio, our handpainted tiles are carefully produced to create an original work of art

that will last a lifetime. Most of our designs are executed on a 6” or 41/4” U.S. made Westminster tile. Theunglazed bisque tile is first airbrushed using stencils and handpainted, then glazed and refired to 1880 °F toensure permanence and durability. Upon request we can substitute Westminster tile with Dal tile to coordinatewith your project. Also available is 6” or 4” handmade white Mexican tile and custom handmade tile to yourspecifications. As we go to press, Goose Rocks Tile Studio is working on a line of relief tile. Please inquireabout custom designs.Designs

In addition to our standard designs, we specialize in custom projects. Working with fabric or wallpapersamples, paint chips, photographs, ideas, and sketches we can create a unique tile installation for the home.The total treatment may include trim tiles and color or clear field tiles, which we can either custom produceor order from a commercial tile distributor.Custom Services

For custom services, we require rough floor plans/elevations with measurements. A photograph of thearea to be tiled can be helpful. Jobs are generally priced per tile. Custom jobs will be quoted on a individualbasis. There is no charge for estimates, however a custom fee applies to preliminary drawings as well ascutting new stencils.Shipping/Lead Time

Tiles are shipped directly via UPS Ground or through the UPS Store and are insured. Shipping chargesrun around 12% of the total. As all our tile is individually hand decorated, please allow 4-12 weeks fordelivery, depending on the size of the job. Upon confirmation of the order we will assign a projectedshipping date.Installation of Tile

We recommend installation according to the American National Standards Specifications as given inthe “Handbook for Ceramic Tile Installation”.

Areas subject to water or steam should be installed on Wonderboard, sealing all cut edges withwaterproof tape. Tiles should be applied with a high quality certified mastic. An acrylic grout must beused. Allow two weeks for setting up and then seal with an impregnator. We recommend 511 Impregnatoror 511 Porous Plus by Miracle Sealer, Azusa, CA, locally available from C & R Tile in Portland, ME. Sealersrequire reapplication every 2 - 3 years to maintain protection.

For fireplace surrounds, use a heat resistant epoxy mortar to apply tile to wood, metal or wall broad.Conditions & Warranty

Our aim is to achieve the best color consistency with our glazes. Please note, however, that due to kilnfluctuations and our handcrafted process, variations in color are inevitable. The colors in our catalog andsamples are intended as guidelines only.

Tiles are not guaranteed against crazing which is a natural occurrence in some glazes and only enhancesthe handmade look. All tiles and murals should be laid out prior to installation to verify spacing and fit.Any questions about your order must be resolved before installation as no adjustment can be made aftertiles are installed. Although glazed tile has a hard surface it is not wear resistant and caution should beused concerning placement.
